Sweden sword attack: Masked man shot by police
18 minutes ago

The attack took place at Kronan School in Trollhattan
A masked man with a sword has killed one person and injured four at a school in Sweden before being shot by police.
The victims included one adult and four students, police said. It is not clear which of the victims died.
The attacker is being treated in hospital for gunshot wounds.
Police told the Swedish news agency TT that there was "considerable confusion" at the school, in the western city of Trollhattan.
Niklas Claesson, head of communications at the NAL hospital in the town of Trollhattan, said the student victims were "young but not kids".

"Some of them have serious injuries and are being operated on. One person is deceased at the scene," he said.
Police said the attack took place in the cafe area of the Kronan school, which has 400 students. Students were seen fleeing the building.
Trollhattan is near Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city.

Sweden sword attack: Masked man shot by police
23 minutes ago

The scene outside the school after the attack
A masked man with a sword has killed a teacher and wounded at least two students at a school in Sweden before being shot by police.
The attacker is being treated for gunshot wounds in a nearby hospital in the city of Trollhattan, police said.
Niklas Claesson, a spokesman for the NAL hospital, said the student victims were "young but not kids".
"Some of them have serious injuries and are being operated on. One person is deceased at the scene," he said.
Police responded to an emergency call reporting an attack in the cafe area of the Kronan school, which has 400 students. Students were seen fleeing the building.

Police spokesman Thomas Fuxborg told the Associated Press the attacker was in his 20s and carried more than one weapon, including "at least one knife-like object".
Mr Fuxborg said police fired two shots, one of which hit the attacker. No motive was given for the attack.
A statement from the hospital said: "We have four seriously injured patients. All are in surgery right now. One is a teacher and two are students. One is 11 and one 15 years old. They have knife wounds.
"One of the injured is the suspected culprit. He is being operated on for gunshot wounds. A teacher died at the scene."

Police responded to an emergency call about an attack in the cafe at Kronan school
One student told The Local newspaper: "I was in a classroom with my class when one of my classmates' sisters called her to warn her that there was a murderer at the school. So we locked the door to the classroom, but our teacher was still outside in the corridor.
"We wanted to warn him, so a few of us went outside and then I saw the murderer, he was wearing a mask and had a sword. Our teacher got stabbed.
"The murderer started chasing me, I ran into another classroom. If I had not run, I would have been murdered. I'm feeling really scared. Everyone's scared here."
Eyewitnesses described chaos at the school, with hundreds of students fleeing from the building screaming.
Sweden's interior minister, Anders Ygeman, said on Twitter: "It is with sadness and dismay I received the news of the attack on the school in Trollhattan. My thoughts go to the victims and their families."
Trollhttan is an industrial town in west Sweden, located around 75km (50 miles) north of Gothenburg, the nation's second largest city.
School attacks are rare in Sweden - this is the first since a shooting at a school in Kungalv near Gothenburg in 1961 which killed one person and injured six

"Just goes to show how effective "gun free" zones or laws are"

That was my first thought.

And then why.. has the world done such an incredibly bad job at protecting children? *

There has always been maniacs & criminals.
IDC what all the shrinks or so called professionals called them, or politicians or 'so called' spiritual leaders, or what upbringing they had.
They kill innocent people.. children, because THEY WANT TO .
We should STOP making excuses for them.
And stop kissing a@@ at the expense of children & society & fear of offending.

They should be eliminated.
And schools & malls & banks, should have ARMED
guards (retired cops, veterans.. hire somebody)

. That is what we have come to.. protecting ourselves against maniacs.
Why isn't the world screaming for funding for that? Because if your too young to vote or work or protest...you are expendable?

* rhetorical " grumble

Was he screaming "Alah akbar!"?

There are some BIG differences between the two articles.
The first one- Daily Mail is blaming "Right Wing"

The second one seems to be more focused on the bizarre behavior of the students.

I think this is reasonable, yes attacks may happen, it happened here at a trade school where i live 26 years ago, 26 YEARS AGO! we're not immune to violence but public rampages should be a very very rare occurrence, in schools even more so.

Some on here try and make these attacks look like normality and it really isn't. Guns would have made this attack 10 times worse, sometimes you'd think these kids are acting out some video games live

woulda, coulda, shoulda... it happened the way it happened, and you try to justify your ignorant gun control views when kids were still killed? dead is dead, it matters very little on how...

i would like to know if this jackazz was on any medications at the time...

I'll wager, that not a single unarmed libtard was able to stop the mass attack.
