"" At least 14 people were killed and two suspects
were dead Wednesday after up to three people
on a mission that authorities described as
"possibly terrorism" barged into a holiday party
in a California conference room and unleashed a
bloodbath.
The shooter or shooters fled in a black SUV
after the shooting about at 11 a.m. (2 p.m.
ET), police said. A bomb squad was still
examining a suspicious device believed to be an
explosive at the scene late Wednesday
afternoon, San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod
Burguan said.
About 4½ hours after the shootings, police
checking a lead in the nearby town of Redlands
began chasing a car believed to be related to
the incident, Burguan said. The chase led back
to San Bernardino, where two people described
as suspects — a man and a woman — were
killed, he said.
Investigators were also carefully reviewing
material at that scene as a possible explosive or
explosives, Burguan said.
A third person who was seen running away
from the scene was in custody, Burguan said.
Investigators were also carefully reviewing
material at that scene as a possible explosive or
explosives, Burguan said.
The dead suspects were dressed in "assault-
style clothing" and were carrying assault-style
weapons and handguns, Burguan said. He said
an officer was shot in the confrontation but
didn't suffer a life-threatening wound and was
expected to be OK.
Multiple sources from multiple agencies
identified one of the three attackers at the
resource center to NBC News as Syed Farook.
No other information was available, but a
knowledgeable source said another member of
the trio is believed to be Farook's brother.

It appears that this incident may very well have been related to an argument that happened earlier at the same party:

The paper, citing public records, wrote that a Syed R. Farook was an environmental health specialist for the San Bernardino County government, though the paper cautioned that it might not be the same person as the suspect.

According to the New York Daily News, Mr. Farook’s father, whom the paper did not name, confirmed in an interview that his son inspected restaurants and hotels for health violations, and was married with a child.

He also identified his son as “very religious. He would go to work, come back, go to pray, come back. He’s Muslim.”

Gunmen killed 14 people and wounded another 17 at an office party for the county’s public health department. According to San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan, there was an altercation that prompted someone to leave in anger.

Some news outlets reported that the angry person came back with one or more armed friends to carry out the attack.

“Someone did leave, there was some type of dispute at the party but we have no idea if those are the people who came back,” Chief Burguan said.

THAT at least makes more sense than targeting a support facility for the developmentally disabled... noway grumble

ALSO - this is just my opinion, but in my view, it's a bit too early to try to determine whether or not the scumbag's religion has anything to do with it. From the way things sound right now, it appears that he probably got "dissed" whoa or something, & handled it about like your typical gang-banger would...

(Of course if it comes out that they were shouting "Allahu Akhbar!" as they were firing, then I reserve the right to suggest that maybe religion DID play a part in this...)

That's not an unreasonable opinion. Something stinks about this and I'm glad it wasn't chosen as a target for disabled people or those who help them 14 people are dead 10 in critical condition and 8 more wounded including the officer from the chase and shootout.
I can't think of who the first analyst was that pin the tail on terrorist training camp but Harry Houck formerly of the NYPD reeeeally wanted this to be terrorist for no other reason than 'no one could have left and came back and done this. Then the criminologist on the panel spelled it out and a (separate) tip lead them to exactly where the SUV was. It couldn't be a bonnie and clyde... slaphead frustrated could... Damn. frustrated

Hats off to the San Bernardino PD, Sheriffs, and all the agencies that helped smoke these cowards out.
The shooters really took away the possibility of any other outcome by speeding off and shooting at the cops as they pursued.

Though, going forward... They've got two for sure, one on the run? One in witnesses imaginations, witness error? It's not over by any means, but there's still no confirmation on the third shooter. I have doubts about any explosives especially since there was a mock pipe bomb (reported) thrown during the chase. It's much easier to fake a bomb/ied than making real ones. Almost anyone can kill with a gun but making bombs that can be transported to a target without going off or even long enough to get them out of the blast radius of the bomb maker isn't something most people would even try.

we agree

I heard all the hypothesizing and none of it really seemed reasonable to me

the islamic terrorism didnt fit because the assailants tried to get away insstead of kill as many as possible and make their 'purpose' clear while doing it, let alone the first two were a male and female and I know no precedent where islamic extremist would put a female beside a male,,,,

the angered party guest didnt make sense either, because who gets angry and HAPPENS to have partners and a van and assault weapons handy during the same period to 'come back' to the party with a partner or two

I could imagine this was premeditated as an option for someone who was going to get what they wanted or kill people,,, and didnt get what they wanted,,,

Someone/Something is hellbent to stir the Pot,to create Chaos!

Fearmongering/warmongering. One of the possible theoretical explantations have to fit.
Here's what we know.
Too many people died for it to have been a personal grudge.
It doesn't fit the middle aged white lone wolf. But...
Isil DID call for attacks in the US, and for actors to attack in place rather than track the 'muddy footprints' through their Iraqi\Syrian training camps.
'Traditional' Arabic terrorist trained actors wouldn't have a woman as equal participants. But...
They do promote a 'family friendly' facade and a female was standing next to the suicide bomber in the saint Denis raid.
The lead that turned up the APB SUV WAS an employee at the party that reportedly came back. But...
Why would a Muslim come to a Christmas party? Employee or not.
Suspects were reported to be masked so i.d. Would need to be printed from spent brass IF they didn't load the mags with gloves on.
Isil has been using encrypted texts via a smartphone app. If the program is found on their computers or phones we'd know it was linked to isil... Possibly. They haven't taken responsibility for this which they should have by now.
It could be a stand alone situation, isil guided, or not, inspired by the Paris attack or even the Colorado springs shooting. It could be a mixture which seems most likely.
It had to be premeditated because they seemed to know the response time of the police and the details of the attackers and their proficiency.
With all the involved agencies investigation should yield results or solid leads soon for the possible 3rd shooter.
This employee leading to the shooters whose id's haven't been released point to premeditated revenge... Which appears to be why they haven't announced him as the deceased male shooter.

In just the past six hours, we have seen progressives everywhere gleefully crow over what they thought was a mass murder by white male militants, making stupid, sarcastic comments about how it "wouldn't be called terrorism" because of their race. They then blamed the NRA and gun rights supporters while the bodies were still warm, and demanded gun control while having no clue how the weapons were obtained. From there they moved on to mocking all the grieving people who were calling for thoughts and prayers.

And now that it turns out to be jihadis yet again, all those same progressives will be lecturing us about not rushing to judgement and respecting other religions, while denying that Islam has anything to do with it. Their recommendations for defeating the problem will be candlelight vigils and climate change summits.

I will put it bluntly: Progressivism is a horrible, garbage ideology exclusively for horrible, garbage people. It is anti-reason, anti-science, anti-human, anti-sanity, and anti-decency. It is utterly morally and intellectually bankrupt. No, worse, it is morally and intellectually inverted, with a compulsive need to portray evil as good and falsehood as true at every possible opportunity. It has absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever.

This was perhaps hard to see before, because the leaders of this ideology lie about their motivations like a fish swims, but the mask is off now. If you are a decent, honest person who has been beholden to progressive ideology until now, then for the love of all that is good, please take a good look and reassess before it devours your sanity and your conscience. There is nothing in it for you.

Father of San Bernardino shooting suspect says shooter is “very religious” Muslim

December 2, 2015 10:31 pm By Robert Spencer

“Father of Calif. shooting suspect speaks out,” by Nancy Dillon and Denis Slattery, New York Daily News, December 2, 2015:

One of the suspects in Wednesday’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif. has been identified as Syed Farook, according to reports….

A man who identified himself as Farook’s father told the Daily News his son worked as a health technician inspecting restaurants and hotels….

“He was very religious. He would go to work, come back, go to pray, come back. He’s Muslim.”

newest development is this was husband and wife with child, they happen to be a muslim couple which may or may not have anymore to do with it than tim mcveighs christianity had to do with his actions,,,,

takes about one to two weeks to get something close to 'whole truth' as media rushes to report every 'source' and be the first to give information

McVeigh,by his own words was an Agnostic, not a Christian!

Timothy McVeigh was not Christian. Love ya Juan, and sorry to hear about what happened with NPR, but Timothy McVeigh was not Christian. He was agnostic. He made the statement many times to newspapers. He also said “science is my religion.” McVeigh was Catholic as a young child, but never really practiced the religion. He told the authors of American Terrorist that he “did not believe in Hell.” If there’s one tenet that’s consistent with Christian religions, it’s a belief in Hell—and Heaven, for that matter.

We all know the reason the activist old media perpetuate this myth. They want so badly to blame a terrorist attack on a Christian. For the record—have I mentioned this yet? Timothy McVeigh the terrorist who planted the bomb at the Murrah Federal Building that killed 165 people back in 1995 was not a Christian.
