Did you know...

One gallon of water weighs 8.34 pounds (lb) or 3.785 kilograms (kg) at room temperature.
Scientists estimate that one inch of rain falling over an area of one square mile is equal to 17.4 million gallons of water.

What I want to know is if one gallon of water weighs 8.34 lbs and there can be as much as 17.4 million gallons of it falling from the sky during a rain storm.
What keeps that water in the cloud until it falls? What causes it to be released in small droplets and why doesn't the entire cloud just fall all at once?
Is it evidence of anti-gravity?
