i'll be happy to give up my guns when they do... and he gets the protection for life...  I bet every single one of those guys went through extensive background checks and were issued firepower and training for defensive purposes, that's the well "regulated militia" they were talking about. Quite different from the yahoos running the streets with pistols in their pants that you're use to eh? I bet they are all military or ex-military too, the only people that should be armed on your streets IMO.  no, this isn't socialist Canada, this is America, where we supposed to be free ... guns don't kill people, people kill people... and if someone wants to kill me, i can stop that with my finger... guns or no guns, people will still try to kill each other, there's no stopping that... they've been doing it since before we were humans, and will continue long after we evolve into whatever is next.. you're paranoid someone gonna kill you, doesn't sound very free to me. |

I agree with one of his laws... those on the no fly list should not have a gun ... meaning a legal gun to go fly somewhere to use in what country they land in ... and they have always did the back grounds from the internet sales ... and also now more at gun shows ... but again this does not mean anything if anyone listen to him none of this will pass right now what he wants to get passed ... don't know why it should be a big talking point in the Presidency either... its a no win situation right now ... only more $ for gun sales ... they are not going to take are guns away ... somehow they should go after the gangs of those that smuggle guns to sell to the criminals on the streets ... but then the police are not in good standing with some in certain states right now ... and do not see anyone helping them to get the guns off the streets ... trying to raise their children with out them joining gangs is very hard ... only a few get out ... sad but true ... there are so many prose and cones its a where to start ...but nothing with the government or the NRA are going to change anytime soon ... how to beat the criminals are the way to go and those that have been charged are getting their guns taken away ... but have not seen anyone doing that about the gangs ...just someone legal give to those that want to do harm to others ...example with those latest terrorist...but their not the only that have gotten from a friend or family member ... so gun laws and the NRA is just a never ending merry go round ... in the united States ...

They want to make this a political merry go round in these new elections... something for the parties to go after for votes and even if the President gets something passed by over riding the congress they GOP have said vote us in ...this will not be law anymore ... just like many other things they want to change if they get in ... that has been passed ... some that has pass is good for the country ... and as far as the law for guns nothing will stop gun sales ... and the more people go for this the prices go up and the only winners are the gun supplier...and the NRA ... but i do believe they should try and shut that corporation loophole for the automatic weapon not the semi just the automatic... who needs a machine gun ... and other automatic guns... and people forget those who want to kill don't always need a gun to do it ... Let's get two things straight, OBAMA. 1. Banning guns does not reduce crime. Crime goes UP when the law abiding citizen is disarmed. 2. The Second amendment is not about hunting and it's not about target shooting. It's about giving the government good reason to leave the citizen alone. Regardless, gun grabs are coming if the clown in office has his way. Obama is the biggest threat to the American way of life...Obama hates Americans, the Constitution, and free market capitalism. He destroyed our economy with measures like the ACA and immigration amnesty. The “Affordable” Care Act has been nothing short of a disaster. The rights to a free press, free speech, assembly, and religion are extremely important but none of them matters very much if you can’t defend your own life against aggression. Every person should have the right to bear arms. Leave your hands off my guns! Gezzus, you keep yodeling about it... I don't think they're targeting you way up there in the swiss mountain tops  well maybe not,if they have any sense! But the problem is that the Fools in DC,Ottawa and Brussels are giving our Fools in Bern the wrong Ideas,and we can't have that! |

The POTUS, of course, has just created an even bigger problem with his attorneys "scrub" of our 2nd amendment rights afforded by our Constitution. As a result of his actions on the "mental health" clause, returning veterans of many deployments to areas of combat will fail to seek "help" for PTSD related issues in an attempt to keep their rights to possess firearms and travel freely. The very rights they have risked their lives defending now become the means to disarm, discredit, and victimize them, and the public, that their service, suffering, and courage were offered up to defend. Typical liberal brainlessness! |

I watched the townhall meeting tonight. Nothing too crazy happened...rather tame. Obama said "loophole" and "background checks" about a hundred times....and when asked about titles for firearms by some Chiraq activist/priest, he said that is similar to registration amd there is no national consensus on that....yet. A slip? Idk....
The format wasnt that great...select questioners could only ask one question with no follow up. Really nothing new from either side |

Even if the additional (supplements for those removed by republicans) 200 requested ATF agents were clones of Usain Bolt and EVERY gun owner (assuming all 350M guns can be found) held them out like batons in a relay race it would take 15 to 20 years to collect them all. THIS IS PHYSICALLY, LEGALLY, and LOGISTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. If the average gun weighs 4 lbs, that would be 1,400,000,000 lbs over all. What would the cost in $ be for SEVERAL MILLION PEOPLE AND VEHICLES to transport HALF of this weight be? And where to? That would nearly fill the gulf of Mexico. Not one person who wants to purchase a gun OF THEIR CHOOSING would be unable to do so as long as they can pass the background check. Close the gun show loophole. Scum illegally trafficking and reselling weapons to urban areas [repeatedly, making a profit in the process], would have to register as a business and conductthetheir own background checks. They could also be [already on the books] held legally responsible if they break EXISTING LAWS just like any other registered arms dealer. No background check was done for the Columbine purchases online with a credit card by minors. That was a very long time ago BUT to say there were always background checks done online is false. If you honestly think that the government [any part of it] is going to take away your guns, go buy another one. |
