I had to call my electrician yesterday to replace a light switch... he came through the door looking like Santa Claus.. normally, a clean-shaven dude.
Beards look good on some men - depending upon the length..
scruffy looks good on some men
Clean-shaven looks good too
I have noticed that beard texture is also different, depending upon length..
I have also heard that a beard is a bacteria trapper and should be washed daily..(which I don't think a lot of men do)..
Anyway, I prefer someone clean-shaven to scruffy (Don Johnson look) than a full blown beard.. just sayin.
Not a fan of long scraggly hair either..put that together with a beard - yuk.
IMHOexplode

Myself I like mustaches on guys.... As far as the rest of the face beards are fine to me as long as they are well groomed..

Long hair on a guy shshsh sexy~~ But like short hair or bald as well.

To me as long as the guy is well groomed regardless if long hair, short hair or bald.. Same with the beard either with a beard or only a mustache or the ones that looks like a shadow of a beard.. As long as it is well groomed it's all good... But really like a mustache on a man.. drool

I prefer a clean shaven face, it looks neat and fresh. Though a well groomed mustaches and beard is just fine as long as it's not too overgrown:tongue:

Santa Claus is acceptable only on Christmas , as long as he has a present for metongue2

I guess it is a cultural thing. I lived in and area when I was "impressionable" where facial hair came with some "attached" meaning. One you were just being a rebel or you were in fact wearing a beard because you were married and it was a "faith practice". Single clean shaven and bearded married.

The rough and scraggly beard never did a lot for me. A beard that gets too long kind of gets in the way in my play book. I always thought what we used to call "necking" in my day was nice way to start the "games".

I don't know if I just got used to a beard and learned that a well groomed (clean and Conditioned) one could have it's comforts over a heavy beard that was more like contacting a scrub brush. But I actually prefer a nice beard. I know that makes me the exception with almost every woman I know.

That and I always associated the guy with less body hair as vain, a patient, or a family member (full blooded native men are not known for facial hair at least in my Tribe).

I will say I find bachelors who do the whole now I am single and hot stuff as an older bachelor and put on the whole rebel with out a clue or "theatrical" effect of a mustache, goatee, or beard; especially if it clearly does not fit their face is a big turn off. I have seen guys that really looked pitiful and about 20 years older than they were or sick because of a bad facial hair presentation.

I do think on line you are stacking the deck against yourself when ever you do put up a photo that has facial hair. Statistically you are stacking the deck against yourself. For the minority of women who do like it you can always grow it.

Clean shaven or scruffy. Full beards are a turn off.

I kind of prefer clean shaven. I like a moustache, but a lot of men don't look good with that. There is a small percentage that can pull it off well.
