As a Hillary supporter is fear that last night may be the begining of the end for her. Her answer of allowing illegal immigrants to get drivers liscences will give the GOP nominee a sure fire issue for the campaign next year. Given the current level of xenophobia in our country most Americans will go along with the GOP on immigration.

Edwards and Obama went after her last night. I don't know Edwards just rubs me the wrong way, very insincere investing in hedge funds and talking about being born in a milltown in SC. That act is just getting old. I want a nominee who can stand up to the GOP and not get swiftboated like Kerry did in 04. Obama is to nice and Edwards is well Edwards. I know alot of people want to change the tone/game in Washington, but unfortunatley to win the game you have to play by the rules, and Hillary is the best the Dems have there I think. What do other Dems out here think?

I see pros and cons with both candidates. Both are intelligent, though.

"Hillary is the best the Dems have"

If true, that's hilarious. She's so dirty, it's funny. What is it about the Clintons that makes poor Chinese immigrants want to give them more money than they could possibly afford to spare? $300K + from one neighborhood where everyone lives in poverty? Give me a break.

Wow even alot of Clinton haters on here. My favorite bumper sticker "At least when Clinton (Bill) lied no one died." Refering to the Bushies misleading us into Iraq

Its not all just Clinton haters

Apparently they have pretty well discounted all the stuff in Wilson's report regarding Uranium and Africa now, so basically all the comments about Bush's lies are lies. Howzat?

Actually there has been a lot of writing about the matter recently. It seems that France was pawning off information on the US intelligence service supporting claims about Iran purchasing uranium in Africa.

I love the fact that democrats are free to ignore reality while they lie about Bush, but it doesn't make it right. Personally if my kids tell lies I generally correct them rather swiftly.

As for Hillary, I think she is pretty capable, but I think her politics are all wrong, and her agenda is somewhat anti-american I expect, from what I have seen and read.

Please give us a quote from George Bush, which is a lie, so that we can respond. Just saying "He's a liar!" without offering any evidence is support your position means you are making a gratuitous assertion. So I can reply back "No he's not" with equal validity. If you believe Bush lied, then supply the quotes and explain why they are lies. That is the only way we can raise the debate out of the playground and actually discuss issues like adults.

Spider,

Junior is as dishonest as Richard Nixon. The difference is that Nixon was competent as president.

Mac60,

That's great, you have gratuitous assertions and ad hominems down pat. Now it's time to be an adult and use some logic and facts to support your statements.

Ron Paul...our last hope

Dude, I've been over his lies so many times it makes me want to vomit. If you're not aware of his profound dishonesty by now, there's not much I can do for you. There are volumes written on the subject. You might start with "The Lies of George W. Bush" by David Corn.

Or for a Republican view, try "The Price of Loyalty: George W. Bush, the White House, and the Education of Paul O'Neill" by Ron Suskind....I like this one because it's the viewpoint of a dyed-in-the-wool Republican, Paul O'Neil, with an impeccable reputation, who served both Presidents Ford and Reagan, in addition to being the CEO of a major corporation, Alcoa.

Of course they tried to bring him down, too, telling lies about how he supposedly stole govt. documents. Bunch of lies.

So,it's all out there for you if you want to take the blinders off. Or barf up he Kool-aid.

As for which Dem I am supporting, it probably doesn't matter what I think because of the screwed up primary system. By the time I get to vote, it already be over. Although I am leaning towards Edwards.

Mac60,

Okay, so you won't give any evidence to support your position, you expect me to do the leg work for you. The burden of proof belongs on the person who makes the statement. If you refuse to accept the burden of proof, then your statements can and should be ignored.

Does anyone want to offer up some lies that were told by the President? Perferably a lie that resulted in the US military action in Iraq or Afganistan.

I'm in your camp on this one Spider. Way too much of people calling Bush a liar without any foundation. Largely this is from people who have no solid basis for their political views, from what I have seen, but that is not always the case.

The Ron Paul supporters are coming!!!

On the Ron Paul issue. He needs to run as an independent as soon as he gets booted out in the primary. He could do a lot of good for the political process. I agree with virtually none of his positions and I consider him to be irrational, but he will never get a Republican vote, so he can only help. He could likely swing a large part of the Democrat vote his way, by giving a fresh debunking of their logic.

I heard Hillary today. She forgot that people care about taxes apparently.

well i must side with spider and the philosopher
on this one

any one that makes an attacking statement

the when asked for evidence of said statement

and they say that the person asking for evidence
is hopeless

makes their statement worthless

anyone can make a statement about anything

but with out them having proof to give why bother
listening to them it becomes speculation thus inadmissible
