Topic: Are You Still A Teenager In Love?

I want to always be in love Peggy, that means the world to me, it keeps me alive by day to day. Bright-eyed, confident and full of hope - Yes For Sure - No matter where Life brings me - even in solitude - I will still want to feel being in love unless I lose my memories of it. What you feel inside of you will create your "Aura" and You will Just Look Like That. I don't want to look "Grumpy" and be called as such.

I don't want my heartaches or past disappointments ruin my real character, of being fun-loving, easy-going, and just being happy.

Life is Short, Time Flies Fast, No Use Whining or crying over the past, We just have to Move On and Make the Most of what is left in our lives and try as much as possible to make beautiful memories that we could cherish in our lifetime  flowerforyou

That's a lovely outlook to have Twin

Do you ever wonder when you have that bright eyed optimistic aura that you attract people sometimes who misinterpret your optimistic aura as ignorance and who wish to take advantage of that?

Actually Peggy, it happens to me several times, but here's the thing, those

who takes advantage will be the losers in the end coz I firmly believe in

"karma" though I don't pray that they get such, it's just that they

wouldn't be successful nor even come close to success by doing such,

"A Person Shall Reap What He Sows" It is a Fact of Life!!

But You - the optimistic soul shall continue on and glow even more, so

never be discouraged, let your inner beauty come out of you and never be

afraid to see the dark and bright sides of life. Hold on to your optimisms

and Let that be Your Weapon as well as your Shield!!! Be as Awesome as You

Can Be!!flowerforyou

do you fall in love now , the same way you did as a teenager?

Of course.
The process is the same whether I'm 13 or 130.

do you fall in love now , the same way you did as a teenager?
does the cloud of past disappointments prevent you from fully enjoying that yummy warm glow of your early stage of love?

No.
But andropause/menopause does.

"Cloud of past disappointments" is what people use to rationalize to make something the fault of someone else.

I also am not as excited/scared to drive as I was the first day of drivers ed., and it really has nothing to do with the "cloud of past disappointments" from speeding tickets, or accidents, or crappy drivers.

what gives you that feeling of hope and unbridled excitement after all these years?

Testosterone, dopamine, adrenaline, and serotonin.

To be honest Tom, I really can't envision you being giddy or excited about anything  laugh

I can't remember what that feels like to be truthful.

But i am pretty cynical and skeptical when it comes to this kinda stuff so i am usually just thinking "how long will this one last before she moves onto someone better"

I actually get where you are coming from giantowl.

I don't think a person should feel bad for being cautiously optimistic in love. Some may even call it wisdom to do so.

But I think if a person is serious about finding love or about love finding them  , it's crucial that their heart at least remains open to possibilities ...

Oh ...

And also...

When that youthful enthusiasm about love has been beaten out of a person because of disappointment, I think sometimes it takes a very, very, very. very, very, very, very, very SPECIAL person to nurse or shock your hope in love back to life happy

Yes off course,

Doesn't it make you feel desired, and loved and wanted?
Oh and don't forget how it makes your heart beat faster just being in the same room as the person you want to love and cherish forever and ever.

Oh I think its is best to close the book on the last chapter/relationship,
before moving on into a new relationship,
that way you are not carrying any emotional baggage around.
Off course, that easier said than done!
After all, having a relationship end when you want to keep it going is like having the sky fall on your head

Yes Jan Doh.

There is no other feeling like it in the world

... And yes, the fall from that high feels devastating at times, if the relationship ends badly.

I think that the romantic feeling we described, is so important to so many people that they are happy to take that risk over and over again.

Wow gives me something to think about because I really don't know.

How is one should act like with the male species in a romantic way?

You can't say "chur bro what's the haps"?
It doesn't feel right.
Next it would be like kissing your bro sick

Hey Annie waving

I am not referring to how you express your romantic feelings.

I am talking about how you FEEL!

Do you feel very guarded when a romantic connection is developing
between you and a guy?

Or are you inclined to remind yourself of past disappointment to keep yourself centred , cautious and less giddy in love?

Oh sorry
I will let you know when it happens.
Don't hold your breath.

Okay... As the lady requested, I shan't be holding my breath laugh

I like the idea of internalising the karma principle Twin !

Also, how about if we allow our inner beauty to be coupled with our intuition? Hopefully by now we are instinctively better at filtering out the people who are around us for the wrong reasons glasses

Talking is passive and not actually being a participant being with a person is the criteria not intellectualizing about all ramifications..

Of course Peggy we should always have it within us together with that inner beauty, as our intuition serves as our guide in deciding for What, Where, Who and When...it is our inner voice and most of the times it speaks the truth...

Growing up, people would call young love 'puppy love'
thereby diminishing its theoretical impact.

Well I am here to tell you, it is all the same.
I felt exactly (at 8 years old) as I do now when it
comes to love.

Same feelings, giddy, breathless, yearning, fearful,
exuberant, nauseated..all the same when love is
in the room.

Is there a ..jaded version?
Probably.
But for me, I go all in, past be damned :-)

This is me...
I don't have a stop button if I love I love completely an without reservations.

That is why I don't do it very often...

Absolutely 100% I've learned that Being prepared for heart break or expecting it, doesnt make it hurt any less. It only attracts moe of the negatives. Some think I'm an idiot for this but I will go in with no fear of the bad and offer immediate trust until it's been ruined. I'll gladly welcome 1000 heartaches if that's what it takes to find the one who keeps it safe.
