Yes... I date younger and I date a bit older...
I want someone that can at least relate to my youth and where I am going in my old age when I get there... lol

I like men older than me, I don't see myself dating a guy who is below 38 yrs, I prefer old and strong

I find that most women over 70 want younger men than their age and the older they get, they seem to be attracted to much younger guys that can take care of them. Like driving these old ladies to their doctor appointments, hospital emergency room, shopping, etc. Don't they realize that as soon as her savings run out and sex is history, so is the young guy? laugh

Age gap, well it only works if a guy has a lot of money. Look at the movie stars and especially Hugh Hefner, the going broke ancient Playboy CEO. I mean do women really want some old man as their love. Having financial means to free young women from the slavery of poverty seems to be the ultimate aphrodisiac. Look at Donald Trump, I mean what would a lady twenty, thirty years his junior would see in him, if it wasn't for his money. His second wife got dumped, because she got it on with a younger bodyguard. Now that financial opportunities seem to be robbed from the less affluent, this is starting to become more common. Financial security is the only real advantage an older guy has, or an older woman in some cases. Hopefully the middle class will one day be restored. In that old song by George Jones (RIP) song "The One That I Loved Back Then" the banker always get the girl.

Wow!!!

I date younger and it sure isn't for someone to take care of me.
If and when I am no longer able to drive that is what senior care vans are for. As far as taking my savings not going to happen I worked hard for my money to just give it away...

Can't speak for others, but I feel there must be an acceptable age difference ( perhaps 5 years diff approximate) since that ensures both are at similar wave length, think similarly. Not that an aged person in a relationship will not understand their partner but their priorities most of the time are different than the other

I get a lot of younger women that contact me but they are usually from far away and want money. The ones that are closer to my age seem to be pretty messed up. I realize that there is no normal but it would be nice to meet someone that is at least in that ball park.

I avoid younger women like the plague. Other than physical, there is nothing to relate to. If a gal is 45-55 we can have a great time of dancing and conversation. flowers

I agree with rox here

when I date ,,lol

my preference is certainly someone at the same 'stage' in life as I am and as a mom its also important that they weren't born in the same decade as my oldest,,lol

so,, no younger than 34 for me

I can be friends with someone younger but when it comes to a personal relationship I want a peer that is my age and life experience.

Does age gap matter to you? Especially in pursuing a relationship ? :)

If I were a lonely single man who was desperate for a woman's attention, then I might say that age doesn't matter.

Imo, I agree with David. If you don't have a set of standards, you might be perceived as just gold digging or wrecklessly moving from one relationship to another. Leaving a swath of bodies in your wake.. wow I gotta lay off the java.

This topic will start a fiery debate here....hahaha
As per usual...
In the Western world an age gap is generally looked down...
In the Eastern world it is looked at as a desirable situation and more readily accepted...

I have had 8 relationships in my lifetime....all were age gap relationships...6 younger, up to 20 years difference and 2 older up to 15 years difference...
Obviously they all ended or I wouldn't be here...haha...
But none ended because of age factors...I might add...

My partners in the younger relationships all cited the following factors that led them to pursue older guys...

Experience....
Maturity....
Commitment....
Stability....
Chivalry....

Mix this together with the younger one having a more serious, mature outlook in life and the older partner having a cheeky, younger outlook and you can generally meet in the middle somewhere...

A lot of people will feel the older guy is taking advantage of an younger woman....
Maybe this would have been the case years ago....
But these days younger women are very strong and mature and not easily influenced....
They know what they want in a partner and will pursue that goal...

My experience living with women years younger than myself has taught me not to worry about what other people think of our relationship....
No person on this planet has the right to judge you in matters of the heart...
