The Naked Truth: London’s First Pop Up Nude Restaurant Opens

For the brave ones among us, if you like to eat food and like being naked, this restaurant is for you. It's intended to be the first naked restaurant dining experience, where clothing is optional, and you will have to leave your mobile phone in the cloak room, along with your cloak. Technology is not permitted in the dining area, for obvious reasons, and, for some, this may seem more extreme than being naked.

The Bunyadi will open in June and diners are granted access on a first-come-first-served basis. The wait list stands at over 40,000 and for those who wish to try the food without having to expose themselves, there will be a section for those who wish to keep their clothes on.

Charles Walker, one of the managers of the restaurant, believes people will buy into the concept. He suggested that even those who are prudish like the idea.

"The amazing thing is, you are not forced to be naked, there is no pressure and it's about choice and freedom. It's an event and experience but the theme runs through, with some incredible food," Charles Walker told Sputnik.

The 40,000 waiting people suggests to Walker that theme restaurants are the future. "It's not just the fact that you can have steak and chips naked, but it's that you can have raw, organic food and the foundation is about the company and the experience. It's not about status. It's all about people enjoying things that are out of the ordinary and people want more," Charles Walker told Sputnik.

As you enter the restaurant you are ushered into a changing room to take off your clothes and put on robes. Once fully-robed, you walk into a dimly lit dining area and wait to be seated, at this moment you feast on several healthy, highly organic dishes, while feasting your eyes on the ambience, and pretend not to watch as guests around you de-robe in candlelight.

Candles are the only light in clothing-optional restaurant in London

Owner Sebastian Lyon offers that good food and no devices will be the secret to success in his restaurant. Hopefully the thermostat will be set at a comfortable level.

"This is a step towards showing people that being naked is normal. People who are really interested will come, and, for my next venture, I plan to take this to Paris and show that this concept really works," Mr Lyon told Sputnik.

Why yes.. Preexisting = no worries

I guess since some, think it is old news, then there won't be any spike in criminal deviance, what's so ever.
Not during the appetizer, & daddy won't have to explain to little Sally why a man has an erection during the entrée', & what being circumcised
& uncircumcised means.
And little Mohammed can go to the unisex bathroom, all by himself, because he is a big boy now, as the family waits for, dessert, & not have to worry about the old naked man with faded tattoos.

Yep, just another family outing.
Having a sing along to from Sunday dinner.
Don't forget grandma & grandpa & the weird uncle who never moved out.
But, better leave Spot in the car, especially if your in Canada.
You wouldn't want to offend any SJW's for animal rights... Just the women & children.

Wakey wakey asleep

Something to START by realizing:

what a "pop up restaurant" is.

This is NOT a new concept in McDonalds dining, or even Outback Steakhouse.

What a "pop up restaurant" is, is a TEMPORARY EVENT experience, for specific interested people.

Fussing and complaining about it as though it's some kind of social movement, or even remotely a demand on the majority general society to change in any way, is based on ignorance.

It's functionally identical to having a social club with specific members, who like topless waitresses or whatever.

So no, you DON'T have a problem where "daddy [will] have to explain to little Sally why a man has an erection during the entrée," or any absurdities such as that, because anyone who HAS that kind of concern, wont be invited, or will ALREADY have resolved that issue before VOLUNTARILY CHOOSING to attend the EVENT.

Getting freaked out and warning people about the dangers of this, is identical to telling everyone that if they VOLUNTARILY take their kids to an active horse stable, that they will be in danger of having to explain horse poop and smelly hay to their kids.

Wake up indeed.

It's an EVENT. Not a replacement for Walmart.

I was on vacation in the Caribbean and they had a nude beach.. I couldn't wait to pop my head over the hedges.. all these great thoughts running thru my mind of what my eyes would behold

What they beheld was a raisin beach club .. very tanned fossils

cured me of the thought of ever visiting ANYWHERE where clothing was optional

It took awhile to get some of the sites I saw out of my mind.

Some people just can't bare it .
