I love these kind of threads that generalize an entire gender

as if all women want the same thing

the things I want for myself are the same things I want in a man

intelligent and able to carry on a conversation without drooling or saying
duuuuuuuuuuuh a lot

self sustaining and fall somewhere in middle class

owns a home and you know a lawn mower maybe

knows how to cook and clean up after himself

the hygiene things is also nice

is not hooked on any substances

has some hobbies and they can be guy things like Nascar, football games,
hunting or fishing

family is important to him

God is in his life

sense of humor

still has things he would like to accomplish in life

he can own a dog
as long as it's not a little yip yapping ankle biter

faithful not because I am suspicious or demand it
but because he chooses it each day

just as I would choose to be faithful to him

now take the opposite of this list
you would find the things I dislike

unmotivated, lazy, unclean..unemployed, drunk
stupid, uneducated and going nowhere in his life

Topic: Turn ons and offs for women

Turn on:
A man caring enough to ask.

Turn off:
A man lacking confidence so he asks.

.Timing is everything

So do you like me? laugh

In general what do women like in a man and not like? I mean physically and personality wise too.

A man who can cook turns me on. A man who is down to earth, smart, funny, honest, respectful, and kind

What turns me off is rudeness.

Better get going on a cookery course

I should take lessons too

A man who tells you what he thinks you want to hear in order to get laid.

Is that a turn on or a turn off?... I'm confused.think

Another turn off would be dirty and long finger and toenails.

As for attitude and personality...there's lots but the usual nobody likes.

As far as looks? I'm not into lists, so one thing I like is A man who fits into a country lifestyle - jeans, hiking shoes/boots, nice shirt or flannel shirt but depends on the weather. I like to be attracted to him. I'm not attracted to a man who looks he is from the city. No suits. Not attracted to a man that that is really disheveled either. Like a guy who looks like they care about themselves.

Hey Cat the guy you description matches is in the north. I belive next to denim their next favorite is flannel. Canada baby! Better start practicing your French and ending every sentence in eh?!? ;^)

So.. I have a question in regards to this topic.... does the guy always have to be entertaining.. what I mean by that is... does he always have to have some sort of adventurous plan for the two of you to do... does he always have to show up and say let's go square dancing.. does he always have to be action-packed... mr. Entertainment..
Or is it okay for him to show up and say I really don't know what we can do. Together.. and ask your opinion what you would like to do...
Because I always show up feeling like I have to have all thes exciting activities to do... to keep the women entertained and interested... okay I'm probably not explaining this very well..
But I'm sure a lot of guys out there understand what I'm saying...
I'm not mr. Excitement but I feel when I meet a woman I have to have all this cool stuff going on.... yeah let's go..
Hand gliding... or jump out of a perfectly good plane...lol... sometimes it's nice just to go for coffee..lol

Well that's the thing... some of my interest I don't think would be much interest to her.. so I'm always trying to come up with things that would entertain her... and yes sometimes..
IPic activities that are a little out of my comfort zone.. in hopes of impressing her.... don't want her to think that watching a movie. Together while sharing popcorn.. is really my idea of a good time... but secretly it is..lol... I think guys are always looking to impress women with the cool Factor...
. Personally I like going to flea markets... antique sales.. I think that's a nice way to spend the day...

I'm new to this Mingle thing but I want to answer your question. Some turn ons for me are: a man who has some aggression, who is confident, is bold and tells me the truth instead of what I want to hear. A man who can put me in my place when need be. All that other good stuff as well family oriented, hard worker, intelligent, someone who challenges me. Physically: I like a man who is physically fit. I love when a man wears jewelry for example a watch or a ring. A great smelling Cologne is good too. Facial hair. Dresses nice. I'm a suit girl but I also love when a man is wearing nothing but sweats and a shirt. He's got to be clean. Turn offs: Needy men, men with baggage.
