Just curious as to who everyone is supporting in 2008 and where you are from. Not really looking for a debate on the candidates since that would be better in another thread.

As for me I am from North Carolina and I support Senator Barack Obama.

P = Polished liar
O = over paid
L = lost jobs for the American people
I = ignoring what they were elected to do
T = Turning back on the people
I = Indulging in extravagance
C = Con artist
I = Insincere
A = Arrogant...(I will omit the other meaning of A)
N = Null and void of intestinal fortitude

It doesn't matter who wins, the main thing is we have kept a murderer in the senate for 40 years, I have no faith in politics, The policies of this country have failed the American people, and it's been obvious since i was a child. They are a bunch of greedy, pocket lining, self suited individuals, who could care less about the people, and the bottom line is most would sell their Grandmother for a dollar. Unfeeling, uncaring, dressed in a three hundred dollar suit pieces of crap. You can dress it up, you can give them diamond rings, but you still have a bum, who's mission in life is to cater only to themselves, and it doesn't matter who they use for a stepping stone. /Rant

As of now.. Steven Colbert lol.

I haven't really found any candidate that addresses the issues I want the way I want so I will have to see come election day who not to vote for. This won't be an election of who American likes but who America dislikes the least.

Kucinich or Ron Paul.

The rest are mouthpieces of international big business, big oil and AIPAC. Whether Democrat or Republican.

Plus I want a good looking woman to represent America in the world. And Guiliani dressing as a woman is not exactly what I have in mind when I said that laugh

I'm surprised I'm not seeing any mention of Thompson and Huckabee here. Huckabee has a earthy common sense approach to management, and Thompson seems to be able to draw on a little more information in forming and expressing his opinions than the average bear.

Ron Paul is a cackling hen in my opinion. But after he gets booted from the republican primary with his 3 percent of the vote I will support him as an independent in the general election for the sake of taking away Democrat votes. He will never get a Republican vote for dogcatcher.

Hillary is an interesting case. Probably a good choice if you favor giving up sovereign rights of the US to the UN, and if you favor taking from everyone to give to everyone else, both good options for some people. I think she would be very effective and relentless at accomplishing the exact agenda I have mentioned in this paragraph. I could be wrong, but that's my first impression. Good Luck. What is the immigration policy of Canada again? Gypsiii, I could use some assistance here!!!

If anything Ron Paul as an independent would take away more libertarian leaning votes that tend to go to the Republicans.

Do you really think so eal? I do not see any of his platform positions being even slightly republican. I absolutely see him as a democrat with extremely leftist leanings, farther than any liberal I would expect.

Besides that I just don't see how he has any idea about the structure of government and its function, which I don't think is characteristic of either the republican or democrat parties.

For the record I think the independent, libertarian party has some good and valid points, but I do not think Ron Paul is a reasonable representative for that party either.

OK, of the people here who support Ron Paul, if he were not in the general election, would you be more likely to vote democrat or republican (if you don't mind indulging me here).
