Does anyone have any pain relief remedies for a sinus infection? Already been to the doc's office and all. But I feel like pure-t total CRAP. Any suggestions?

Ibprofin is and anti-inflammatory, usually helps cuz you are swollen and sore from sneezing and coughing.

i cap of eucaliptus oil in pot of steaming water. cover your head and breath deeply for however long u can stand it. clears out sinus and any other bug in your body.

if its snius pain a nasal decongestant with psuedophedrine (sudafed) will do the trick try that or the sinus pressure one, it works the best (im a pharmacist tech.)

this sounds totally strange...but do you have any nose spray? If so, aim it directly at your ear (right nostril~right ear)...it will help you and you will feel so much relief.
I also take vicks vapor rub and put it on my forehead and in my ears and under my nose...then cover up real good. Lights out..you can't believe how well you will sleep!!

I only get sick off of sinus infections. You need antibiotics & heavy duty allergy decongestants (NOT over the counter). Go to another doctor & get those. You can't fight this on your own...it can lead to bronchitis. So go to another doctor & get it diagnosed right or call your doctor and demand another prescription without having to see him. I'm sorry you feel bad and I hope you feel better.

I agree with Aristiota.... get the anti biotics ...because once it gets down into your ears ... you will be in the worse pain you'll ever experience ~

a hot toddy, and steam yourself in shower.

Hot Toddy= hot tea, lemon, hoey and a shot of Jack Daniels.

The key to steaming yourself is turn on shower to hottest temp, open shower curtain, vicks up your chest and a little under nose, when you can't stand the heat anymore, turn off shower but don't leave bathroom till all the steam is gone and you cool down a bit. Put on more vicks and your warmest pjs, bundle up in a warm blanket and the have another hot toddy. You'll sllep like a baby and your head should be much clearer.

Before you do all that, find a DR> who knows you have a sinus infection and will give you the right meds to cure the infection.
