<snip>Police: Caller reported armed man
A 911 call about an armed man threatening suicide drew officers to the scene just after 5 p.m. Monday, North Miami police Chief Gary Eugene told reporters. "Our officers responded to the scene with that threat in mind. We had witness statements that there was a gun. We had a 911 call with that same information," Eugene said Thursday. "However, I want to make it clear, there was no gun recovered." Kinsey told WSVN that his patient was holding a toy truck, not a firearm. He said he tried to explain the situation to officers, then asked his patient to be still and lie down. Cell phone video released by Kinsey's attorney shows part of that exchange. "Please be still ... get down ... lay on your stomach," Kinsey says in the video. The man beside him rocks back and forth. Another video released by the attorney shows a different perspective of the scene. In that video, Kinsey is lying in the road, on his stomach and handcuffed. So far, attorney Hilton Napoleon II said, video of the shooting itself hasn't surfaced.<snip> http://edition.cnn.com/2016/07/21/us/miami-officer-involved-shooting/index.html Until the Investigation by the State of Florida has finished,no one knows what actually went down! |

If a Police officer breaks the law he or she has to be held totally accountable for their action, to include prison if that is what the sentence calls for. White.. black.. doesn't matter. They are not above the law. But Recently they have been ambushed, cut down and murdered.. ( 8 just last week alone) Just because they had the uniform on. With total disregard for what kind of person they were.. total disregard. It appears to be open season on police officers in America.. I get that, I side with law enforcement, In my opinion, they fighting a losing battle short term. That being said, these people of law enforcement are acting like they've been trained by the city aquatics dept. The whole dept is responsible when one shooting like this happen, now they distance themselves when they stick together on everything else? why is it the ones who should be the most responsible of gun owners are really crap at it. I don't think drawing your gun on every event is necessary, especially on a suicide 911 call. |

lol,,for obstructing traffic? I see now the logic that defends killing people for disobedience on a major highway... i guess firetrucks, ambulances, and the police didn't need to do anything important that day, like saving someones life... ![]() you're racism is making you blind... did they ? and did they have no other routes but that intersection to get someplace? Google maps gives me at least three options every time I search directions. no doubt, being arrested for blocking traffic makes sense,, having the key 'thrown away' is emotional nonsense probably, but it is really selfish and ignorant to shut down a highway for any reason... It's kind of funny, a bunch of the protesters that got arrested were white. We had a term for White people who acted black back when I was growing up...... Nope, not idiots, not douchebags oh that's right they were called Wiggers! All thought apparently the new name for a white guy acting black is Justin Bieber. |

Those highway protesters should face heavy fines or long hours of community service IMO, Jail should not be an option. What gets me is they were warned to move on but they refused??? ![]() ![]() BLM exists because of this BS ![]() Some Police forces are completely out of their freakin minds... If they were ordered to move and didn't, they broke at least three laws. Obeying a lawful order and disruption of traffic and jay walking. A few days in jail will do these thugs good. |

Photos and videos from the scene showed the protesters standing in the interstate around 6 p.m. Monday. They also draped a Black Lives Matter sign on an overpass.
"It does not appear that the majority of those individuals are from the Richmond metro area," Deputy Steve Drew told WAFB. He said police arrested the protesters after they refused to budge. Many of the protesters were white. From the original article. |

At least 13 people were arrested after protesters holding Black Lives Matter signs blocked all southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in downtown Richmond, Virginia Monday, local media reported. Organizers told the news station the purpose of demonstration was to show white people "putting their lives on the line for black people." Media outlets reported that traffic was backed up for several miles. The police were able to get the lane back open by 6:20 p.m. "We respect the right of individuals to protest, however, we draw the line when the activities of life become handicapped. When you block an intersection, you don’t know if people are going to the hospital, or emergency vehicles need to get from place to place. So when that happens, it becomes a problem," Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones responded. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/07/19/black-lives-matter-activists-arrested-after-protest-stops-traffic-in-virginia.html It's about damn time! ![]() |
