Dear ladies, tell me--Do you find as you get older you tend to become invisable to other people---people think you have gone passed your sell by date and you are not interesting anymore, it makes me so cross when i say good morning to a person and all you get is a grunt.or you are talking to them and they just look passed you as if you are taking up there valuable time.

Maybe it is just me---I do not think i am so ugly, if i am,-- well there is not to much i can do about it--My heart is full of gold.

I think the main problem is we ? are not up to the modern ways of life--like--cash machines--pin numbers--young people that talk so fast-- remember your mobile number-- our policeman that look like they have just come out of school.

I am not saying you are all falling off your trollys--there are older people out there that are very clever and can run rings around the young ones-----Maybe i am having a bad day today--

A SORRY FROM TONY IN TWYFORD.

I AM STILL LOOKING FOR THAT DEAR LADY X.

No need to say sorry, Tony.
Everyone is entitled to have a bad day once in a while... but don't do
it often or we'll call you a whiner. ok?

Listen, old people like us are not invisible. There are actually lots of
young ones looking for old people like us, most preferable with lots of money.

If you say good morning to someone and they don't say good morning back.. they are probably just having a bad day. or you live in the wrong city. I
always say good morning back with a smile.

And listen, Tony. You are not ugly. As Miss Piggy would say...
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye."

The problem is not "we" .. we is good. happy

Good luck in your search.

Sounds like you are having a problem being older?
It's pretty normal that younger generations view the older ones as "old". In western society older people aren't so respected as in some other cultures. But maybe it's up to the older generation to prove they still have value so to speak?
A great many these days still look good, are very youthful, but there's also a lot of pensioners that do nothing but whinge and whine all day every day.

Apart from that, accepting that you aren't as quick or as 'up to date' anymore concerning certain things than when you were younger.

Funny thing is that you become sort of obsolete when it comes to finding a job around the age of 38. If find that more ridiculous than what you're saying to be honest -no disrespect.

Kids 24 years old will feel I am old, I call them 'kids' -well, jokingly now just to make a point-, yet they feel they're adults that know everything there is to know about life. Once they're my age themselves they'll realize that at 24 they knew nothing.

It's all relative. And esp at your age you should know this ... again, no disrespect.

Tony,

I hope your day is getting better. A lot of people are in a big hurry these days, so try not to take it personally. While I do think it depends on where you live; I also think people have their mind on a million things at times, and don't mean to be as rude as they seem.

I don't think it has anything to do with being old, Tony. The sad truth is that most people can't be bothered nowadays and I find the youths, at least here in Belgium, much more patient and helpful than most adults.
I've gotten used to provide myself with anything I may want or need, be it directions, a helpful hand or company or what have you. Thanks to technology and a bit of savoir faire I can go months without feeling the need to turn to anybody for anything. These days, especially for men, it is preferable to manage alone or you'll start feeling like Tony.

Hey Rooster! Belgium folks rock! Looks like Tony might have shut off his connection, being new to it and all. Tony, your mate has passed, my condolences. I hope you will make your path to recovery and to the memory that life is still beautifull, at any age.
Ciao!

spot on and so true, older people when they share their life stories is really great. I am getting older and now I am starting to share. It's surprising how the younger people don't know history or even news events or business history.sense of humor some don't have any and think the weight of the world is on their shoulders.

I agree to this... As I see most of the young generations refuses to observe and learn more of what's the reality of life... They're much willing to accept but not to give... Little they didn't realize that time will come they'll be old as well and wanting to be heard
