A good friend of mine and I just really need a vacation. Her more so than me but still.

Trying to think of some ways other than just work day job and save obviously. Like, things that can supliment while we're away.

She's been working had taking care of her grams on her own so I'd like to be able to surprise her one day with a trip to Korea or something.

Any ideas?

The best way I have found to save some extra $$ is always
to stop eating out..cook at home much cheaper :-)

I barely eat as is so not much to save there lol but yes when an option I make sure to cook at home

I save tons of money by dumping cable. I have a small antenna in my apartment and get about 10 local channels for free

One way that works is to take 10 percent of your paycheck and put it in the savings and never touch it...

It can really add up even if it's 10 dollars a week.. And it's not a huge impact on most peoples life style.

I tend to have trouble with the paycheck on simply because if I don't buy it there wouldn't be real food in the house

I would grow some pot and make a quick sale.. ( depending on the climate where you live) One time gig.. should be enough for a vacation.. and if you save some weed for yourself.. a very relaxing vacation

If the cops find your plantation in the weeds, just deny that you know anything of it... play stupid... bewildered. They will just take it away...and give a warning.

Any specific palace in your mind

Make a list of all the things you spend money on.

Then divide that list into two categories; needs; food, rent, transportation, and wants; nights out, new clothes, cell phone bills, lattes at Starbucks, entertainment, etc.

Then start crossing off the "wants" and put that money into savings.

Also look at the "needs" you do buy. Do you buy a lot of pre-made processed food? Do you really "need" to live in the place you're living? Or can you find someplace cheaper? Do you need to take a limo to work everyday? Or can you get by with with taking the bus. etc.
