English has some spelling quirks. It's not that people dislike bad speller's as much as they see obvious signs of just plane laziness in the way some people write, especially today with computer aids like "spell-check".

Dyslexia isn't the same thing as bad spelling.
Dyslexia is a reading disorder.

dyslexic what is it

A word the definition of which is easily found in any dictionary, or by simple internet search.

why do some people hate bad spellers so much

Lots of reasons.
It kind of depends on whether it's a constant, every word is misspelled, textspeak, or just a one off.

- it shows a lack of effort or care. As though the person you're speaking to isn't worth trying.

- it creates effort for the brain, it changes the brains resting state to make it put forth worthless effort.
People are constantly trying to maintain a physical and mental homeostasis where they can then freely pursue pleasure spikes to create a higher resting state.

When communicating with words you are creating a narrative. When you misspell words it causes someone to not only try to keep up with the narrative, but now they have to shift focus on correcting it. The brain has to find the right word, the right spelling, insert it back into place, analyze it to make sure it fits, and then get back to normal. When the brain gets jarred off track it creates a negative emotional reaction of "something wrong." Like being woken up in the middle of the night by a loud sound.

Try going to the gym and working out. Get really tired. Then decide "I'm going to do 10 more pushups and my routine is complete! I'm going to go home, take a shower, fix some food, and relax."
Start doing those pushups, anticipating the end of the workout and all the things that come next, counting down until you're done and everything is accomplished, but have someone randomly come by and push you over.

Same thing, emotionally speaking.

People handle the negative emotional impulses created from resting state disturbance differently.

- some people are **** retentive or controlling about their world view. Piercings should be in the ears and nowhere else. Hats should never be backwards. Forks should be in the dishwasher or drawer, not the sink. Socks should be folded not rolled. Tattoos are for trash. Words should be properly spelled.
If you interfere with the paradigm it's seen as a personal attack, backing them into a corner forcing them to defend it.

Like Dodo David said. Dyslexia is a reading impairment. It doesn't have to do with grammar.

It depends where they are from cause the American's spell differently to the English & Australians so if you looking at it that way yes. however this is what is said on Wikipedia
Dyslexia, also known as reading disorder, is characterized by trouble with reading despite normal intelligence.[2][3] Different people are affected to varying degrees.[4] Problems may include difficulties in spelling words, reading quickly, writing words, "sounding out" words in the head, pronouncing words when reading aloud and understanding what one reads.[4][5] Often these difficulties are first noticed at school.[6] When someone who previously could read loses their ability, it is known as alexia.[4] The difficulties are involuntary and people with this disorder have a normal desire to learn.[4]

Dyslexia is believed to be caused by both genetic and environmental factors.[6] Some cases run in families.[4] It often occurs in people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and is associated with similar difficulties with numbers.[6] It may begin in adulthood as the result of a traumatic brain injury, stroke, or dementia.[2] The underlying mechanisms of dyslexia are problems within the brain's language processing.[4] Dyslexia is diagnosed through a series of tests of memory, spelling, vision, and reading skills.[7] Dyslexia is separate from reading difficulties caused by hearing or vision problems or by insufficient teaching.[6]

Treatment involves adjusting teaching methods to meet the person's needs.[2] While not curing the underlying problem, it may decrease the degree of symptoms.[8] Treatments targeting vision are not effective.[9] Dyslexia is the most common learning disability and occurs in all areas of the world.[6][10] It affects 3–7% of the population;[6][11] however, up to 20% may have some degree of symptoms.[12] While dyslexia is more often diagnosed in men,[6] it has been suggested that it affects men and women equally.[10] Some believe that dyslexia should be best considered as a different way of learning, with both benefits and downsides

What I find most annoying is the ignorant people unaware of their ignorance expecting everyone else to be like them.
Gee if only everyone else was like me the world would be a better place rofl

Back on topic

I would say that one of the many reasons why some people don't like bad spellers is because it interferes with their feeling of certainty which they find distressful.
