What's your definition of cheating?

Not living up to accepted expectations, then avoiding responsibility for not doing so or trying to shift responsibility onto others, willful manipulation of the perception of others for personal emotional security.

Hmmmm, want to know how far you can go and not have it considered cheating, huh?

The best way to find out is to ask your partner

If you sneak around, lie and hide things. If you know it's wrong and your partner wouldn't agree to it

Fly straight.

If you love someone...Prove it daily.

Make sure you go out of your way to ensure there is never any doubt.

when you begin giving the best parts of yourself to someone else

when you seek out someone else's attention

confide in them with your secret wants and dreams

when you spend time with them

talk and text to them behind someone's back

while still staying in a relationship

with someone else

Anytime you act, think or feel contrary to your nature.

The definition of cheating depends on the subject area.

Assuming this question is about relationships, cheating is defined as whatever EITHER partner thinks it is.

That's it.

So if, as is usually the case when someone asks this, you were hoping to have the rest of the world "take your side" in an argument about it...

...you lose.

LOL, I agree. Sounded like he was asking permission so I tried to stay generic.

As far as relationships go cheating is defined by each relationship individually. If neither partner cares who the other sleeps with and gives permission it is not cheating. Cheating is rooted in dishonesty (LIES). Sex is not the only thing that can be cheated. Just seems to be the most common. Love itself is another biggie that gets cheated but the cheating concerns any dishonesty between two people in a relationship as far as I'm concerned.

And in the academic field cheating is when you are copying some one else's answers.
