Happy is the wrong word. Content is the word that you should use. Contentment is a mental or emotional state of satisfaction maybe drawn from being at ease in one's situation, body and mind. Colloquially speaking, contentment could be a state of having accepted one's situation and is a milder and more tentative form of happiness. ~wiki Contentment allows happiness to come and go as it is merited. When someone is contented they seem to experience joy more often.

I wouldn't say happy all the time, but I do appreciate all the things that are happening in my life and it makes me feel content with what I have and not expect more. A grateful heart will always bring you joy , contentment and peace of mind

Yes, and right now very happy! Sometimes you clearly need to have the baws to address issues that bother you. Had three good incredibly helpful conversations today, and dang, I feel so much lighter!
