The way I understood it was violent illegals to be removed, i'm assuming that would include the children of illegals who are living violently.

If they're living a good productive life in the US, they would be fast tracked a legal status, paying taxes, then they can send whatever is left to mexico, you know, to support their extended family members.

you have no idea how much money is syphoned out of our countries without paying taxes... it's a whole economy for mexico, I feel bad, they will suffer but your country cant carry the burden any longer, the pendulum had to swing sooner or later, this could have been handled better by past administrations but here we are... with trump

I agree Johnn, if you are a honest hardworking illegal.. then get legal for Christ Sakes and start contributing to the country you are taking form.

But if your not and if you are a illegal in one of our jails or prison... they you get the football drop kick out.

And the flow HAS to stop..no country can continue to bare the cost of a never ending flow of undocumsanted people.. no country.

I agree with you both. I really don't see why so many don't think that we should not go by the Laws before us, to do things the right way.

How hard is it to see that the Laws that are on the books already need to be enforced???

So many of the things that Trump is saying is actually Laws already on the books but are not being enforced..

There are Laws about Employer's hiring illegals but yet they are not being enforced at all..

The system actually needs to be upgraded as far as how Employers can turn in information to a system to verify if one is legal prior to being hired.. Do many even know if you hire a Illegal then find out their paper work is false that is no reason to fire a employee??

We have had several Presidents all say they was going to make the borders tighter... And several times they have allowed those that have been in America for at least 5 years the chance to get the paperwork done and stay... They have certain things they have to do and one of them is going to Immigration when instructed to check in with all the paperwork that is needed to show they are upstanding..If they fail to do so then all of their paper work is no longer any good and subject to go back pretty simple.. As long as they follow the Laws fill out the paper work ect they are allowed to stay...

We all live by the Laws of the Land if at any time we break those Laws we are subject to the consequences from our actions...

that's right, follow the laws and do it right or get out. That is what every other country does. But we allowed this thing to grow to this level, now it has come to a head and something will be done about it... finally. No tiered program, no restructuring of our laws.. just enforcement of our existing laws.

To put it in perspective. we have over 200,000 of illegal gangbangers in our prisons... why?.. why are they still here? While we support them everyday. Have they stopped running their gangs.. no it continues while they are in prison.

That a look at the Los Angeles county jail.. you tell me who's in there.

ICE and other federal and state law enforcement agencies, have a manifest of all of the Latin gang members out on the streets. The vast majority are illegals, so why are they not picked up and thrown out?. Why do we allow them to continue their criminal ways when they have no business in this country in the first place?... why?

Its about time someone does something about it. I hope Trump does.

Our money money might be better well spent on the wall rather than spent on all the vacationing.

some jobs only have 'working vacations'

money would be better spent on AMERICANS in need, like those without healthcare,,,or without homes or food,,,,,,

I have never seen a job application where providing false documents or information is not GROUNDS for immediate termination.

ALL countries do not have the problem that America has. For Example , England is on the ISLAND of the UK, it has NATURAL borders(ocean) that make it hard for people to just walk over. The countries in the UK do not require papers to travel between for those who can 'walk' over between them either.

Europe has a Union that also allows those countries citizens to travel freely between them.

Not to mention, the countries in the UK have similar economic conditions as do those in Europe.

where the USA is involved, we have a country with no natural border which is in DIRE economic condition compared to the US. Enforcing immigration is a different animal than MOST other countries, let alone ALL other countries.

Laws are there for a reason, they should be enforced not only against those taking risks to improve their families dire conditions but by those who make the most profit from their need.

People break laws for many reasons, downloading most music online is technically against the law and people do that just for CONVENIENCE. The immigration problem is more complex than being able to listen to a song when you want to and not paying for it. Some of these people come from extreme conditions. Painting them all as equal when their details can vary so much is a mistake. The details should matter. The end game should matter to.

Even in laws as extreme as drug dealing or killing, details matter when decisions to charge are made. What the law ALLOWS for may be a maximum penalty but that decision is at the discretion of the judges and lawyers and jury,, based upon details and the end goal.

MS.

There are here ILLEGALLY... frankly,I could care less what their reason is.

They come here.. work under that table.. pay no tax. They then have a kid, but have no health insurance, so we pay. they put their kids in school, but since they don't pay taxes, we pay that cost as well.

you see the point.. they do not contribute.. so we have to carry them.. is that fair?

Illegal immigrants are 14% of the prison population.. that is 210,000, on average it cost $168,000 to house feed, give medical and guard a inmate.. that comes out to over $35 million a year.. every year.

Wouldn't it be nice to use that $35 million on Americans who need it.. Hmmm

And not to mention whatever they did to find their way into prison in the first place.

The bleeding heart folks can harp all they want about it but fact is... it is finally being addressed.. after years of nothing.

Of course the Illegals don't like it and they don't like Trump. But someone has to stop the graveytrain.

too much false information going around

illegal immigrants pay more taxes than our President..lol

but seriously, this is a matter of painting everyone with the same brush

someone HIRES them 'under the table', what is their drastic consequence?

many do still pay taxes to the employer who also pays taxes

most who rent dont pay 'property taxes' which go to schools but the property owners do pay taxes from those rents,,,,

you see the point? some may not contribute, and some may be contributing as much as any 'american'

I am not sure where you get the numbers on illegal immigrants as I am not aware of the prison system tracking that information (other than non citizens,, which is different than being here illegally)

the prison system is a profit business and will stay full regardless of who is in it,,so that money cant be spent 'elsewhere' in any case, its going to stay exactly where it is,,

of course, current laws can be enforced better, MOre of the VIOLENT criminals who should not be here should be deported

but I don't consider the things many of these people go through for their families sakes to be a 'gravy train',,,,,,

I have never seen a job application where providing false documents or information is not GROUNDS for immediate termination.

Even tho that is written on applications there are many questions that a Employer can not ask out right..

For many company's it may be terms for immediate termination but according to the Law it is not...

And yes I have sources... If you hire someone that at the time you do not know they are illegal. Then you find out and want to fire them thinking you are doing the right thing or will get fined for it think again.. they could actually sue you for wrongful firing if they was doing their Job and good at it..

http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/federal-antidiscrimination-laws-29451.html

5. Immigration Reform and Control Act.
The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) can be found at 8 U.S.C. 1324. IRCA prohibits employers from discriminating against applicants and employees on the basis of their citizenship or national origin. IRCA's prohibition on discrimination applies to all terms, conditions, and privileges of employment, including hiring, firing, compensation, benefits, job assignments, promotions, and discipline. This antidiscrimination provision applies to federal, state, and local governments and to private employers with at least four employees.

IRCA also makes it illegal for employers to knowingly hire or retain employees who are not authorized to work in the United States. Employers are required to examine employee documents and keep records verifying that their employees are authorized to work in this country.

IRCA is enforced by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices, at www.justice.gov/crt/osc.

Ohh and before it is mentioned that it is up to the Employer to know if they are illegal or not.. They pretty much have to go on what they tell them and the paper work they present.. Even if we ask for SS Card to match the number they have given us and a Driver's License it is not like the Government has all Employer's to process all Employee's through a Data base in order to know for sure if they are legal or not..

But even many of the legal ones that are here don't pay the taxes they should for they claim 4+ through the year and yet still get to claim them all even if they live in a different country on their taxes in the States???? That is how the majority of the money goes out of the States.. The Economy depends on money being put back in the system that is helping them not to another country.. This is what so many is failing to see..

to know or RETAIN

implies, to me, that if you find out after hiring, you also can let them go

Im sure the details matter though, as in anything, and there are unique situations and exceptions

which is why I am a proponent of case by case determination instead of a blanket consequence for all,,,,

I have no idea what point you think you are making, other than that whatever it is, is entertaining to you.

I assume you are referring to Trump's infamous wall, and that you have adopted the annoying habit of purposely misspelling the word "love," but past that, I can't tell if you are for or against it, are criticizing those who oppose or support it, or even if you are declaring that there is some "irony" involved with talking about it, or with building it, or with anything else at all.
I now understand why some democrats can't grasp what Trump is saying. They don't have the capability to understand what someone is trying to say unless they spell it out so preciecly and draw them a picture . People sometimes speak in generality if your flexible enough to understand what they are saying weather you agree with it or not and you will be better informed. And apparently you have more than a problem with mis-spelled words you are obsessed with it.

some things are whats called ambiguous and do need to be 'spelled' out more clearly.

like subject/verb agreement for instance

If I am talking about two males and I use he for both, which action applies to which male can be confusing:

While Joe ate lunch with Bob, he began to choke.(WHO began to choke, Joe or Bob)

the opening post had an ambiguous use of subject/verb.

Those against the wall.. seeking to divide the country,, oh the irony

its unclear if the author is typing about two different sets of people or one. its unclear if the author agrees with those against the wall and considers it ironic they are accused of dividing the country. its unclear if the author doesnt agree with those against the wall because the author thinks such a position divides the country.

The country has a budget. The Government, which includes the PRESIDENT AND THE CONGRESS make decisions and compromises about expenditures and never manage to figure out how to spend on ALL The things that EVERYONE feel should take priority.
