President Obama Awards Himself Distinguished Public Service Medal

On Wednesday, President Obama added another prestigious medal to his Nobel Prize collection when he had Defense Secretary Ash Carter award him with the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service.
Secretary Carter awarded his boss with the medal on January 4 during the Armed Forces Full Honor Farewell Review for the President held at Conmy Hall, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Virginia.

Carter insisted that the medal was a token of appreciation for Obama’s service as commander in chief, the Associated Press reported."

He added this to his Fake Medals collection.

Not to worry, Joe got one too.

Humm but but..............everyone gets a trophy or medal for participating now regardless if they were good or bad at it anymore~~~

Yikes, don't say that. That means they will give Bergdahl a medal for defecting and joining the Taliban.

lets get a look at the back of these metals.. bet they say " made in China"

Not sure who it is that got the ball rolling for him to receive that medal. As in not sure if it was totally his order or is it something they do for all Presidents??? If it is then again we are back to they all get one for participating...

Like we do for all the kids now cause they all think just because they played they should have a trophy or medals just for being there...

The only ones anymore it seems that have to really work for their medals and only a few get them is the Military~~~

It is not uncommon for the Department of Defense to give those medals to Presidents.... George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Steven Spielberg, and Henry Kissinger all received one..

Regardless if some think he did not deserve it seems those that have that power did...

Spielberg got one???

a participapation medal... None of the liberals will understand the humor in this....

Based on a lot of my nieces and nephews and kids I know I think a lot of them probably do deserve a medal for doing something other than sitting at home playing video games and complaining.

I wonder if that's just how kids are trained, now.
You play a video game and go through a level, kill a boss, you get something.
A powerup, a high score, a new weapon, a level up and stats, an achievement award, currency...something.

Yea, even Elvis got a "Special Agent Badge" from Nixon.
