First of all, if you look at the top of THIS FORUM (General) you will see a thread about the moderators. Second: ![]() For those who don't know how to look a topic in a thread here is the post. Here is the list of the current moderators for the Community: -- Dodo_David This is an outstanding group, and I hope all of you will join me in thanking them for their help. Our moderators volunteer a lot of their time to help make sure Mingle2 stays the best dating site on the net, and their efforts are sincerely appreciated. markecephus and I make up the administration team. If you'd like to discuss an issue with an administrator, go ahead and mail one of us. I'd also like to make the following points: -- In addition to seeing that the rules of the Community are followed, a moderator's role is to help welcome new users, answer any questions they may have about how the site works, and respond to any requests or concerns you all may have about posts, topics, etc. -- All of the moderators and administrators have been chosen based on their ability to be fair, level-headed, diplomatic, responsive, and unbiased. We have selected them because we know their primary goal is to help all of you enjoy the site more, and they have the skills and personalities to do that effectively. -- All of the moderator actions are logged and viewable by all of the other mods and the administrators. So, any "abuses" are easily seen by the other representatives of the site. Put another way, the mods are accountable for their actions. |

I sold cars once, and an older black couple was walking in the lot, looking around... A white salesman went to them to sell them a car... As he approached the couple, the couple balked and says " we would prefer a black salesman, please"... the salesman said back "no problem, I would prefer a white customer... " guess which one got fired.. If you're so stuck on sticking race thing ours this, then you can always apply to be a mod, then that way mingle can have a quota of non whites to make you happy... The customer is always right. The customer expressed a preference as is their right, it was their cash they were spending. They never said, "we will only deal with the Black salesperson". When in the business of sales, the salesperson should endeavour to give the customer what they want. Yes, the customer's comment was racially charged. We are all at some points in our lives in positions of power. How we choose to wield that power, determines the kind of people we are. |

Look everyone can volunteer (no pay) to be a mod. |

OP, you're a customer? How much are you paying for the privilege, yes it is a privilege not a right, to post here? Now is where if I posted exactly what I'm thinking a moderator would come into play.
I've been here off and on for a long time. I've seen many mods come and go. Most were decent and fair no matter age, gender, or ethnicity. If you want to see how forums are when there are no moderators I can tell you where to go. BE THANKFUL you have decent mods here. |

During that same thread, there is a mention as to who the current moderators are. In that list, there is one person who lists the ethnic background as Black/African. That person appears to no long be a member of M2. 2 members haven't visited the site for over a month and yellowrose is still listed as being part of the team. So I refer you back to my initial post and the questions asked. |
