we do it thanksgiving night when the whole family is over so everyone can kinda take part in it, but its a lil different this year with my mom being gone--do you think we should follow tradition or kinda just let it go, and put it up later on?--by the way HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I will put mine up on Thanksgiving when i get back from my folk's house.

We always do it the weekend after Thanksgiving!! I think you should follow tradition....stuff like that is what keeps past loved ones alive in our hearts!!....JMO

we dont do a tree anymore but i think that if your tradition is puttin it up thanksgiving night stick with it.. your mom might be physically gone but she's always there with you .. just remember when puttin ur angel or star on top that your mothers eyes are there watching

2 weeks before xmas, otherwise my kids will destroy it. lol.

I take the Fall decorations down that night or the next day and put up Christmas stuff. I almost decided not to do any Christmas tree this year since kids are grown and gone. Then I decided I was becoming a scrooge and realized how much I love the excitement and glitz of the holidays! I can make my own tradition now.

Depends if I get live tree or use the artifical.
