I know this has been addressed but do people really take the time to answer those who choose to not include any information on their profile? I do think sometimes it is about laziness and I realize a good portion are scammers but....

IF you are legitimate and claim to be on site for a relationship or marriage then why not take the time to write a profile if you are truly looking to find someone real and seeking the same thing?

These are more rhetorical questions I suppose because I pretty much know what responses to anticipate. :) I just notice that most of the contacts I receive are such people who haven't taken the time to write a profile, add a picture or they leave it at I'll tell you later. Of course I won't waste my time with them because I figure if I take the time to write a profile I expect others to extend the same courtesy, if for no other reason than a starting point for conversation. :) I also don't waste my time with someone who clearly has not read my profile, particularly on the point of smoking as I am very clear on that, and they state on their profile they smoke. Yes, I know that issue has been addressed too, as to reading the profile...done with my rant happy winking waving

Well I think you covered it all. I also hate ask me profiles.
I skip them. But it's far more annoying when they don't take the time to read yours as well. Got to love those filter settings.

Because there are a lot of lazy and stupid people. Additionally, the ability to socialize normally and express one's self are not common any more.

Barbadogirl you are right about the filters. Before I realized those options were available I was getting responses from everyone 20 and up. Once I set the filter for my age preference, closer to my own of course :), it eliminated that!

Depends, I haven't filled my profile too. But I'm not looking anybody here either, just interact in forums and chat with my friends. So, no reason to give my personal information to strangers.

Another thing of course if I would be looking for relationship or dating.

very simple: Ignore these anonymous people/ don't contact them

If you are a social and friendly person; you must only contact the same as you are. Simple as that.

I see it as part of an elimination process. If they've not taken the time to complete their profile to the degree I feel is sufficient, I'll move on to the next profile. If they've contacted me, I'll just block them. It's pretty clear what I expect from a profile by what I've written in mine. Anyone one who chooses to try anyway is either a scammer or someone who straight out the gates has decided to disregard my wishes.

While we are beating this horse, How about those that have left the site and don't deactivate. Any time their profile says last seen in over a month, that pretty much translates to "Nobody Home"
