When I was a lad I was gloomy and sad as I was from the day I was born. When other babes giggled and gurgled and wiggled, I proudly was loudly forlorn...

I missed my destiny of being Hans Christian Anderson.

For myself the real question would be is Biology destiny?

Does that go back to the nature vs nurture question?

On Mingle purpose: just enjoy myself, exchange with others, learn cultural things (mostly American which I like cos my girl lives in the US), and to keep my English up to speed. These days I got my books for that but I've grown fond of y'all, haha.

In life... that's something you find out throughout the years. If you are intent on finding out that is. Some just live their lives from day to day, never really thinking about it.
I do. It's quite the journey, has been for me anyways, to find out. I recently understood that I have personal goals, and 'bigger' goals, goals that transcend personal.
Personal could be seen as 'ego fulfillment' and a means to pay the rent in a way that makes me happy. And also expressing myself. In my case my books and my paintings.

"Higher" goals are different. Is more like a soul calling. It's not about ego but about what I came here to do on this planet this lifetime.
I will get to that once I got the personal goals rolling. Maybe as soon as later on this year.
I do feel I haven't seen the full depth of that goal yet. The sense that what I have in mind, feel called to, is only part of it. That it will go much much deeper once I'm at it.

You DO know that, THAT goal (the latter) is never ending, right?

I'm thinking that could be interpreted as
"The wrong input will give an equally wrong output" ... which is quite profound.
