Sooooo, kissing a fish I just caught is okay?

Depends how big the fish. Only a fisherman can really appreciate the effort. Lol

I do wish there was a place to date photos. Seems honest.

I use photos to show some of my interests ect. . I don't see those have to be current.

Clearly the leadshot should be current.

I'm with most that think the tacky juvenile or hootchi (applys to both gender) type photos are a auto delete.

Leadshots with no eye contact or smile.

The slob look just seems stupid.

The only pics I have a real issue with, are the one's that include kids. People have children, that's fine. But they don't need to be shown in the pictures.

People had an issue when I first joined of me in a Scooby-Doo costume. My face was shown, and it was a way to show full length, but also my personality. Oh well, long are the days when you used to be able to show interests with pictures, since you now have to have your face clearly shown in each shot.

Why? What is your issue? Is it a safety thing for the children? If that's not it then what?

Perhaps the OP meant showing pics of kids is like having the Bible or the Koran included in the pic...being religious is okay, but it may not be necessary to emphasize it in pics on dating sites.

There's the safety issue. This isn't like Facebook where you can keep photos private. My other issue is, most people on MIngle2 are looking for dating/relationships. That means we're not here to date their kids. For the ladies that have kids in their pictures on here. That's a dismiss to me. Shows a lack of common sense in my opinion.

That is not quite correct.
Your main profile image must clearly show your face.
Your main profile image is the image seen to the left of your forum posts.
Other profile images can be other things just as long as the images are not copyrighted with the member not owning the copyrights.

Pics half naked in bed
Pics wearing sunglasses that hide the eyes
Pics that looks off to the side as if they are some super model
pics that are taken off the internet (clearly scammers)
pics that don't match their listed ethnicity

pics that don't match their listed ethnicity

Point of Information: A person's ethnicity isn't always identifiable simply by looking at the person.

For example, a person can be a member of a Native American nation and not appear to be Native American.

Photoshopped pictures with those daft doggy ears or nose

Pictures of your kids, never understood that one

Anything naked or near naked, red flag for me.

Pictures with a guy, especially if he's more handsome than me, impossible I hear you whisper bigsmile

Photos from a distance, unless you have a few close ups of your boat race.

And finally, no pictures of your prettier friends ohwell

I am a big fan of pictures that show interest. Way easier to respond to someone if a picture shows something that you have in common or is interesting about them. Often way better than paragraphs or lists of boring personality profiles that subjective. It doesn't even have to be perfect photo journalism. I have chatted people up from what was displayed on their desk or from a logo on a T-shirt. You HAVE to get away from the hideous mug shots and tell a story.
If your profile is so boring you don't have a single interest the next profile that does is going to get the answer.
If your profile doesn't get you past hello and talking to you feels like pulling your teeth out of your head you can be sure a they will forget your name.

Several comments about kids.

If you are a single parent that is significant information. When I had kids in the home I almost exclusively dated single dads. And once mine were out of the "little" stage I usually dated those with like age and gender. Now I am a grandma I have a pick of a couple of those because yea they are part of who I am.

I could see if in every shot the kids are front and center a potential date saying holy cow where am I going to fit in but I think that is way more honest than the ones that try to hide they have kids.

So you think it's ok to have photos of your kids on here, each to their own but for me it's irresponsible with the lunatics on here.
The obvious thing for me is to simply mention the fact that you have kids in your profile.

Profile photos should be at least somewhat current. I recently ran into someone who seemed authentic but now has pictures that dont look like the same person and vary agewise... but of course are using the younger photo as their main profile picture...we all want to remain younger looking but reality is reality....Don't be afraid to be yourself!
Thanks to whoever deleted my thread. I was simply giving advice.
