i wish i got to date before i got hitched shocked

Seems to suggest it was an arrange marriage.

it wasn't arranged it was more of i married the first person i was allowed to date lol so i wished i knew i could date other men w/o appearing too liberated . at that time dating men here would mean having a relationship already and courtship is done at the girls place with her parents witnessing everything happening slaphead

This is my experience on a date.he's the one to pay bills , its a date others say it as to be 50-50

I'll pay as long as she will not expect me to put out later that evening. I am not a piece of meat. grumble laugh

Wow... it's funny to hear of all this paying bills and tips between the man and woman even though a date doesn't signify a relationship.
The question is "how do you date?"...not who pays for the bills during a date, so let's truly revisit the question again and express our opinions inline with the question.
It's good for the man to pay the bills except the lady insist on paying too.
What we should talking about is the style, location, conversation, place of outing, dressing mode, etc....
C'mon people there are better things in this life than money ....

You have good points, however, if you read back to the OP's original statement, she was referring to who pays for the date.

So, How much did that kiss from her cost?
Oh, I dunno, lets see...
$46.00 for dinner that I ate half so...$23.00
$28.00 for tickets to the 3d film...$14.00
$18.00 for theater refreshments...$9.00
$30.00 for taxi service...$15.00
$60.00 for drinks, I had beer and she had mixed...$40.00
$30.00 for gratutities to servers...$30.00
$5.00 for gas
$136
4 hours

That kiss cost me $136.00 and 4 hours.
She made $34 per hour for a kiss.

Kinda nonsense...
If you want to do all those things, it's your own choice.

No, It isn't kinda nonsense...It IS nonsense.
When I ask a woman on a date I am completely prepared to afford the things that we decide to do. Or...I wouldn't offer in the first place.

My point is that if you see a date as an expendature of your finaces, you are not ready for the relationship that could happen. You are too focused on the materialisms to dedicate a commitment to another person.

Its not about the cost, it is about the connection.

It Is sad to even talk about how much it cost you,if you don.t want to pay ask her to share the bill or don't pay
