When I was young, I loved Dolls, Pretzels, Chickens Dogs & Cats.

I had no TV, not even a pushbike, but I had and knew how to drive a wheelbarrow .

My first rusty bike I got when I was 13..

laugh

As I grew up, I wanted to be a cargo ship saylor ..

That was against my mother's wish to become a Doctor,
and against my father's wish to become a Lawyer. laugh

Couldn't be any of that, so I decided to Join the Navy...LOL

I love your pictures Funzy...such an adorable kid! When I was little, I loved cats and dogs too (still do). I had this little red sweater and would always bring home strays that I found. Most didn't last long though, they were usually injured or mangled in some way. My family thought I should be a Veterinarian.

And you still have the same dreamy eyes that you had back then, when you were younger happy

They didn't want to migrate, so I left alone in the world.
NO FEAR NO LOOKING BACK, and even today, I HAVE NO REGRETS.whoa
I advanced to Air Force, become a fighter pilot and HAD A GOOD LIFE.

Thank you for posting this. I've enjoyed reading each of these posts.
When i was young my dad was retired and my mom worked.
My sister and i were often told, a proper young lady...
My brother was told about being a man.

My dad would teach me to do the chires a proper young lady is supposed to know.
I remember asking so what you're saying is a lady is supposed to do this. And dad said yes. Ladies have a job to do and men have a job to do.
Dad, if this is women's work, why do you know it and why are you teaching me?
He just told me to shut up and let's finish the dishes so we can go work outside.

When i was young( er). I still remember milk being delivered by a horse drawn wagon in my area.
Not being allowed to play outside was the worst punishment. Walking to school felt safe. Security in school meant the monitor for the day.
I remember being kept after school for some nefarious act that I committed and hating it until I realized that the teacher was stuck there with me.
Parent teacher meetings; OY sitting at home and waiting for my folks to come home with the verdict; the shakes!
On the bright side, milk and cookies when I got home in the afternoon. Now that's a tradition I could revisit.
Am I maudlin or what!?!

PS. I also remember snowball fights in the schoolyard, and gettting the strap and detention for hitting the principal in the face with a snowball when he came out to read us the riot act. Lousy timing.
Oh, the look on his face, oh the pain of the strap.

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la,
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Wow...That picture sure brings memories to you.

Now ! ..By my estimation, since you are 70+, plus ( Give & Take ) at least another 17 earlier, that picture should be at least 87 years old ??

Ha ha

I don't quite can make it up, but I can be wrong to..
Now I promise I will keep it secret ,
just please, tell me the right age ..( Yours ) ...60 ( Give or Take ), ?? laugh
