Good people, is it not possible to fall in love more than once? I have dated someone in the past, and we blokeup. Now I had someone, and I didn't love her as much as I did the first one. Now that we are apart, I have found someone else, and that feeling I had for the first lady is there again. But it happened when our eyes met.

which one ...happened when your eyes met ...
not sure of why the breakup with the first... but sounds like you have unresolved issue with the first lady ... and would try and be honest with the one you are with now ... Yea right like all men do that laugh good luck ... sure... I can believe love at first sight ...

Mm-hmm. Well, alternate conclusions can be drawn from your short recitation. You "fell in love at first sight" with the first one, but it turned out not to last. You were apparently incompatible. Then you experienced some time with someone else that you apparently did NOT "fall in love with," and that didn't work out either. Now you have another person that you are feeling the "in love" sense about.

What I'm pointing out, is that this "in love" sensation you seem to value, hasn't had anything to do with the match being made. It's just a fun sensation.

is it not possible to fall in love more than once?

Why would you believe it wouldn't be possible?

Other than that, it kinda depends on your belief system and identity.

If you truly believe you can fall in love only once, then you might be incapable of falling in love a second time.
You might fight against it, possibly doing so without even realizing it, just to uphold the idea of who you think you are and how things are supposed to be.

Conversely, if you truly believe in love at first sight, you may rationalize into existence feelings that aren't self sustaining without the effort and work self deception requires, willful blindness towards anything that might contradict what you're telling yourself you're feeling, or exaggerate feelings that do exist.

You can be your worst enemy or most capable enabler for whatever you want to feel based on who you think you are, should be, or want to be.

I dont know that i would trust love at first sight.

I call it infatuation. Lust. Fantasy.

Many years ago i met Someone and he told me he loved me. I asked why?
He said what do you mean why? Because i loved you since i laid eyes on you.
I told him he's in love with a fantasy.
I told him hold on to those words until you know me. My life. My hopes. My fears. My dreams. The side of me that can sometimes be an A hole.
When you learn who i am, if you still love me, then it will mean something.
Many months later he said the words again and knew the difference and it was more than the empty words from the beginning

I agree that it isn't possible to love someone without getting to know them. It is possible to feel something without getting to know someone. However, relying solely on a feeling to make the decision of whether or not you are in love will lead to constantly chasing that feeling. The person becomes unimportant. As long as the feeling is there, it won't matter what the circumstances are or who the person is as a person.

I love the accidental (?) misspelling of "first."

You have had different love experiences with different persons; each experience is different to another; but is normal to remember one of these more than others; it's like a special relationship.

Nothing related to "love at first sight"
