Why is it so hard to learn that when a person is hard of hearing that they walk away. I mean we be talking and she says nice things about me or how wonderful I am and then boom I Never hear from her again or she stops emailing me. I am no different.

honestly i would not walk away from you from you for that reason at all...i assume she is just a shallow person

I don't know what the problem is with some people, so I can't explain their rude behavior. If a person is kind and a good person it shouldn't matter whether they can hear or not. Communication may not be conventional, but it's workable. For an answer to your question, maybe someone who is a jerk will be brave enough to answer your question.

Well, I don;t know if it is a misunderstand. I don't go and tell the world I am hearing impaired. I can hear and talk.

I have lost 50% of my hearing so I understand your feelings. I don't speak as though I do, but some people can be shallow thinking any imperfection just can not be handled by them.

Are YOU saying that YOU FEEL, when a lady finds out YOU HAVE A HEARING IMPAIRMENT, "SHE" THEN RUNS AWAY FROM YOU????
If THAT is YOUR THOUGHTS then I would say the LADY is NOT BEING REAL with YOU or REALLY LOOKING for a mate..... So THEN I would'nt really worry about HER...   Hello Shadowd...How ya been?

If they walk away because you are hearing impaired, do you really want them?
My son's half brother is hearing impaired. He wears hearing aids. My son and I both wear glasses. That makes us vision impaired. What is the big deal, people? I just don't get it. M

I would need more information then what you've given.
If you were hiding the fact about the hearing loss, that would be dishonest. If you were straight up and they bolted, then you know they were not the one for you. On my profile I put my height and weight, it's out there for the world to see. |

Hmmmm...I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aides. It has never impaired my love life though..

i'm a vision impaired--which is the tunnel vision-gradually slow in closing up--also hearing impaired since birth-----wears hearing aids in both ears--

shallow..i guess. funny how everyone seems to be looking for perfection in someone else. we all have our "dream" catch. often one forgets that he or she has their own faults...if you are with someone, you take the good, the bad and the ugly...i wish you luck...the right one is there!

My friend, if they can't handle you being hearing impaired, then like (I believe Michele put it) you simply do not want them at all man. Ya want someone who is gonna be into you for you man. Simple as that.
Sometimes people just suck though.
