Yes when you get older opinions don't matter much. As someone said "What you think of me is none of my business" or the people that mind don't matter, and the ones who matter don't mind. thats a great mantra to have ladyfabulousity :) |

We, as a human beings, are a sum of :1) what we think of ourselves that others do not know; 2) what we think of ourselves that others are also thinking about us; 3) what others think about us that we do not know; and 4) what others think about us that we thought about ourselves also.
For me, others opinions are very important because it could shape our totality as a person. Either it is positive or negative, it would then depend upon us if how we are going to deal with it. If someone tells us we are useless, are we just going to prove them right or are we going to prove them wrong? However, it is very important though that we know better of ourselves. If we think other people' s opinionswould benefit us why not listen and make use of it to make us a better version of ourselves. if not, then do not consider it though. Bottomline is we should know how to filter opinion. Good or bad, both could be beneficial depending on the reception of the person. |
