Good afternoon my beautiful people of M2, yes a lovely but hot day in the city of cheesteaks & Rocky movies, Penn Relays & Uber Riders. Yes I am back on my anti Trump Campaign. This time he has no excuse, I said this months ago but some didn't listen. Okay lets get right into it. I was reading national news and this article came up about him being sued By D.C. Maryland for breach of constitution. The lawsuit is a first of its kind by government entities, centers that the fact chose to retain ownership of his companies when he became president. then it goes on to say, If a federal judge allows to proceed, one of the first steps would be demand through the discovery process copies of Trump's personal tax return to engage the extent of his foreign business dealings. Here's the meat & wine of this mess, the constitution states that which prohibits U.S. officials taking gifts & other offerings from foreign governments. Hhhhh.... I smell treason....to me!, so America, there it is in black & white. For all those think I have a personal vendetta against him, wellll....its not about what I think but its whats showing. what's done in the dark will come to light! so lets talk about , what do you think?
All replies will be answered back.
Have a great day!

Hi, I kn nothing of his business reach, I know he has some in Scotland, I'm surprised he hasn't announced himself as the new king of Scotland, as did idi armen back in the day, remember that?
So anyway, my point probably isn't relevant but couldn't someone in his position have done the job for free? Giving what he would of earned to some charity or such like?

Mikey4YouSweety,

Hi, Hello welcome back to my cyber mansion, well I respect your view, lets play school for a minute. Is it or is it not say in the constitution that no political or government official shall receive gifts from foreign governments or Monarchs?...... besides his agenda he primarily caught in the cookie jar.

Yes, I agree with that, it's the same here for politicians
and someone of his stature is in the business world a bit to deep for there not to be something a miss!

what do you think?

I think dating site forums offer great examples of how centralizing education and making it compulsory is a bad idea.

breach of constitution...chose to retain ownership of his companies when he became president... the constitution states that which prohibits U.S. officials taking gifts & other offerings from foreign governments.

How is retaining ownership of his companies taking gifts and other offerings from foreign governments?

Is there a particular situation in question?
Something "unconstitutional" like the Saudi government forgives a multimillion dollar loan on Trump properties in S.A. and then receives a multimillion dollar discount in an arms deal from the U.S. gov't?

Or something possibly unethical but not really unconstitutional like Saudi's forgive a multimillion dollar loan on Trump properties in S.A. just because they're President Trumps properties?

Nothing in the OP.

I think if this issue is pressed for Trump, then a lot of politicians are going down. Mostly on the left with their "foundations," and magic market beating stock picks in foreign investments.

Not to mention, the U.S. is going to be screwed royally if the clause in the constitution regarding foreign influence sets a greater precedence of scrutiny.

Since WWII and Bretton Woods we've been pushing global peace through economic interdependence, globalization, as a means to suppress war.
Won't invade your neighbors and kill off generations of people if they owe you money or they're the ones buying all your products and keeping your citizens in jobs, and you're dependent upon them for goods and services that help your economy and country function.
Why would Chinese want to invade the U.S. and bomb the crap out of it if they own a bunch of businesses and property there?
That's been the "big plan" for a while.
Mutually assured economic destruction if you don't comply, profits and better standard of living if you do. Oh wait, we're spreading freedom and democracy, yeah that's it.

If you believe in globalization and want it, then you can't escape what would historically been seen as foreign "emoluments."

Might as well say "well, Baywatch was huge in Germany, so David Hasselhoff could never be President of the U.S. because so much of his income is generated from a foreign source."

In the USA we elect citizens to represent our interests. Its a requirement that the elects must be citizens first. The citizens of the USA have businesses, go to work, inherit their wealth or are considered poor. Poor people don't get elected because they have no weath needed to conduct an effective campaign. We are forced to choose from a pool of weathy citizens.

The POTUS is elected to represent all the citizens of the nation. As a fellow citizen, they have wealth, often from businesses they own or operate. The fact that they have businesses or wealth should have bearing on their credibility in their position. They are successful.

If an elected citizen uses their position of power for personal bussiness gain, chances are they are not representing the citizens of the nation and are then derelict in their duties. If they push policy that gives their businessses an advantage over other citizen's businesses they need to be removed from office.

Carter was into peanuts but he didn't push policy to cause his peanut businesses to prosper. His fame as president may have help his business but other citizen's fame helps their businesses as well. Remember Billy Beer? Bush's had high interests and businesses relating to oil. They DID push policy that affected their interests but the policy also affected the other citizens of the nation.

Trump sucks as a person, I agree. Until he tries to set policy to benefit just his own businesses he should not be punished for merely having businesses. He is still a US citizen.

As for taxes. The whole tax system is unfair to all citizens. As far as I am concerned there should be no loopholes or advantages. Income should be all income, no matter what. If I have to file my taxes, report all my income then everyone else, including the citizens that we elect to office should have to do the same.

Our income (as citizens) is available (with just cause) to the public record (if you think it isn't you are deluded) so they're income also should be available to the public record. The reason elected officials actions and statuses are available to public view is because they are there to represent the public. Thus, everything they do while on duty concerns all citizens.

37KO,

Hello buddy welcome back, well I honestly didn't follow the Comey speech yet but no trump did not submit his tax records yet. which have the American people what's holding you from submitting? I think if he do show his records , it would exposed the revenue he made while in office or expose gifts he receives through foreign countries.

Everyone knew Trump was a businessman when he was elected. Not news. What is he doing? Didn't he give the businesses to his sons? He still has businesses that he goes back to after the presidency. Yes he will still keep track of that.

Tom4Uhere,

I love how you bring accurate data. I even learn a few things from your responses. but as us men with knowledge of what's around us some people will always support or oppose Trump. I have a campaign which I call " Anti-establishment Resistance". me the founder, focuses on conservative politics & educating tommy's next door on politics.

Yes, by showing the tax records it may shut them up!
As for running a country like a business I think differently,
Good house keeping we say here.
You still have a income and out goings,
Like your own house and life you spend to the figure of your income, or wages. sometimes you'll borrow, credit cards, mortgage etc. When you over spend you have problems.
What do you think ?
