I must've read a thousand threads about 'Why do men cheat' but I seriously can't remember reading about why women cheat so I'm asking you, women - and men of course.
And since I know a woman will post this I'll go ahead and say it now: Men cheat too!

it has been claimed that men cheat for s*x and women for love
but I think that is hogwash women cheat for same reasons men do and there are many of them |

Hello...same as men Hello-is there anybody in there,so your point wasn't just Men, but the topic says why do Women cheat...same as Men, OK Einstien, Enlighten us,or is that asking to much, if you are going to ask a Question, then make sure you have an answer-before you go banging on about someone else's response,which of course you are entirely entitled to do, so a half decent-and may I say slightly observed opinion would be more than welcome  Focus. The list of precipitating factors for ALL CHEATING is varied, from a longing for sexual and emotional fulfilment from the new person, to a desire for financial security .
But the ultimate root of all cheating in that actual "moment" is selfishness and a lack of integrity . |

Some people go through years of either abuse, neglect and other not nice things that eventually leads them to stray. So I would say selfishness is a bit harsh

Again, for the Einsteins out there, the subject matter is 'Why do WOMAN cheat' not 'Why do people cheat in general'
Women are different than men - they remind us men of that every second - so their reasons for cheating have to be different, like sex as a couple members suggested being men's motivation. As far as Love being a reason as suggested by others, that leaves me perplexed. The same women professed to love their husband at the bigining of the marriage. Can love be at the same time a reason to get hitched and an excuse to cheat? I call cop-out on that. Thanks for your answers so far. Very telling. |
