examples please?

I do not notice a 'muslim voice' anywhere in mainstream news or media or print,,,,so I would love some examples of this 'everywhere' they are supposed to be publicly taking a stand and the 'everything else' they take a stand on....

Exactly what moe says, my niece is the same. like ostriches, head in the sand!
Examples (uk at least )
Constantly complaining about there rights.
Always complaining about our laws.
Every day somewhere when they detonate a bomb.
The Muslim council is paranoid about our authorities.
Very occasionally they will break off and speak against terrorists.

that is not the case here, the only thing we see of muslims is people bashing them or fearmongering about them

they are a quiet population that minds their own business mostly

I also think it is a different thing to argue for ones OWN rights and equal treatment within the government/laws than it is to 'speak up' about what others choose to do in their personal lives...

Maybe it's reported differently there.
I'd be more concerned if you didn't hear anything from them!
Whilst they are voicing there rubbish you can keep track of at least some of them!
Thing is about them or any other "immigrants" is many come shouting they want this, want that but won't integrate fueling hate from nationals.
Then as we've said they pick and choose what bits of the law suits them!

I think that is the beauty of living in an alleged 'melting pot' is that the laws do not require and many citizens do not expect others to give up their heritage or culture completely for the sake of 'integrating'

I feel like we do not hear much because those who come here come here to escape the persecution of extremists in their own lands yet are fearful of facing the same persecution from those in our land who see them all in the same light as the extremists they are fleeing,,,

Just a thought.
They are totally against it in there countries /religion, it has to be the west's views towards it that is having an influence saying it's ok, so, yet another case of them picking and choosing the bits of there faith they live by. You either are or your not that goes for all religions.

A law student has become subject of an investigation by his university after allegedly mocking Islamic State (formerly ISIL/ISIS) on social media and undermining minority students' safety.

Robbie Travers, a third-year-law student at Edinburgh University, is being investigated after an official who carried out the preliminary investigation claimed he had committed a "hate crime." No criminal investigation, however, has been opened by the police.

Travers posted the allegedly-racist material on Facebook in the aftermath of the US Air Force bombing an IS stronghold in Afghanistan back in April.

"Excellent news that the US administration and Trump ordered an accurate strike on an IS network of tunnels in Afghanistan.

"I'm glad we could bring these barbarians a step closer to collecting their 72 virgins," Travers wrote.

Although he acknowledged that his comments were highly opinionated, Travers denied they were of a racist nature.

"I am deeply worried that I am being investigated for comments which are expressions of opinion in a jovial way . . . I do not incite the harassment or racist treatment, nor attack anyone with an illegal suggestion or suggest, indeed, that they be deprived of their human rights," he said, according to the Times.

The investigation was prompted by a complaint filed by second-year history student Esme Allman, who said Travers' comments amounted to "blatant Islamophobia."

Allman filed a complaint saying, "Not only do I believe this behaviour to be in breach of the student code of conduct, but his decision to target the BME Liberation Group at the University of Edinburgh, and how he has chosen to do so, puts minority students at risk and in a state of panic and fear while attending the University of Edinburgh."

However according to the Times, Travers said the complaint came in retaliation to him highlighting that Allman, who is also the former black and ethnic minority convener of the university's Students' Association, had said all black men are "trash."

Allman identifies herself online as "a self-proclaimed feminist" seeking to create an all-inclusive community.

"I value inclusivity as well as building and preserving safe spaces for us. Creating a truly intersectional campaign is incredibly important to me and my first job will be to work alongside the other liberation groups to ensure EUSA are fully representative of our views."

Comment: What a load of SJW babble. In a normal world, head-chopping fanatics do not deserve "inclusiveness". Mocking is the least they deserve.

.A university spokesman confirmed that "complaints alleging misconduct have been received against Mr. Travers and these are being investigated.

"We are committed to providing an environment in which all members of the university community treat each other with dignity and respect and our code of student conduct sets out clear expectations of behaviour," the Times quoted him as saying.

Basically, no. There will always be a need to strive for more weather it be to better ones self, keep a race going or a religion going, through out history religion has been the fore factor of conflict as moe says, my god is better than yours. As the earth's resources dwindle it can only get worse. I think everyone has your thoughts at one time or another but it will never happen. you only have to look at the threads and that is only a handful of people.
Yes, it would be nice, but no.

Topic : Why don't Muslims talk about their views on gay marriage ...........

1. It is not a subject that interests the Muslim community

2. They choose not to express a view .. which is their right

.3. What is your view of gay marriages .. I support the right of any individual to choose who their partner in life is and to have the same rights as anyone else .. waving

everyone knows my views, no need to get into that...

I don't .. would be interested to hear you express them
Moe flowerforyou waving
well, there's hundreds of pages on here that show my attitude on it, go back and find one and we can argue about it on that thread, this thread isn't about what me, you, or anyone else's opinion on it is...this is about the muslims thoughts and why they keep quiet about it over here...

I think it's the downfall of integration!
If you want your way of life then stay where you are, the way your saying is every national has to give up there own way of life to please the integrators! Why should they?

I don't have to give up anything to allow my muslim friends to practice praying or fasting or any of their own customs.

I dont have to give up anything to allow Hispanics to speak spanish to each other.

There are times when it isnt about not wanting your way of life, it is about your way of life not being a fit for the current environment, so you move to where there is a better fit but not where you must start from scratch and throw out everything about your own cultural identity or customs.

those are isolated examples out of how many millions of muslims in America who abide by the laws and keep to themselves. Silence is GOLDEN when you are already in an environment that is looking for things to blame you for.

It is not picking and choosing. I am against the KKK but I wouldnt run up in the middle of a meeting and call them peckerheads...

Silence is just that, silence. It is not 'picking' any side publicly. That is different than saying it is ok or not ok.

Even if I don't agree, people should stand up for what they believe is right. Makes me think of an old country song by Aaron Tippin...

You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
You've got to be your own man not a puppet on a string
Never compromise what's right and uphold your family name
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
