Topic: 5 ways whites are discriminated against

people focus on surviving and getting through their lives, they also have grievances ... there is no evidence that they therefore can't focus on anything but their grievance, racial or otherwise ...

and you think it's not a problem? instead of minorities trying harder and studying more, it's easier to play a race card just to beat the white man who did study and learn?

if only hard work and study were TRULY 'all' it took ... because minorities have been some of the hardest 'working' in the country ...

Where's my violin?

my thoughts about the title of the entire thread

You love this kind of thread laugh

I love sharing perceptions and opinions, I would gather anyone posting here must.flowerforyou

I don't KNOW about LOVE, but I sure do like knowing what I'm up against. Do you think the oppression will ever stop?

Nope,

its a totem pole where money dictates social status and social status dictates those at the top keep the top spot, the power, and the authority by ensuring those at the bottom never do

and that's something that hasn't changed since Clinton was prez

..or George Washington ...

.As far as race there will always be those who bring disgrace upon themselves and their race like the riots in LA.

Complain about one kind of injustice while participating in another..yea that makes a lot of sense..spock

Msharmony, you're like a bloodhound, once you get a cent (smell ) you never give up laugh
It will always be the same. If you have worked you're bits of to build a business and get to the top why wouldn't you want to keep it?
Let's not forget, those at the top employ the next ones down.
Maybe you would have been happier in lenins days of the old soviet union?
Everyone wearing brown shoes and overalls?
Wanting people to be equal?

Things like Affirmative Action had it's place in the beginning but now it has become prejudice. Racism happens in all races

I did my graduation from new zealand. My class fellows were from USA, Iceland, Germany, singapore all around the world... I eat sleep and spend time with them. I seriously never hear, feel anything like that. No one ever talk on this topic. People were beautiful and amazing. Everyone respect each other. I spend time at their homes. But never ever hear anything like that. Inshort, Its only happen in USA? Why!

Well the USA is approximately 37 times the size of NZ, not to mention USA population is a lot more than NZ. Plus the USA has border countries and many others, around the world wanting to come to the USA. NZ doesn't have the same issue. You can't compare the 2.

If you want to see some serious racism walk amongst the pakistany and Indian community in the UK. now. That is serious hate!
Then look at cosavo/Bosnia, there is about as much difference between them as there is between fur and hair!
Serious war crimes in the 90's!

I could say the same for you. As well as ask why you are posing these questions to me specifically.

I do not believe I ever implied that people shouldn't want to keep their place. Lets not forget those at the top really dont do much more than keep their status quo by employing others to keep them at the top. Hence, why those at the top have their wealth increase exponentially over the same years the rest of us go through recessions and barely there wage increases.

I would be happy if people were not so selfish and threatened by the idea of sharing their 'spot' with others.

Affirmative Action is the AA for Americas historical racist oppression.

its kind of like AA meetings for alcoholism, its never something that is no longer needed or necessary

it not only works in aiding recovery, but it aids in MAINTAINING the recovery that has been achieved

They employ people!
Why don't you start a business and have all the stress but take the same wage as the person driving the truck, stacking the shelves or sweeping the floor!
I directed it to you as you have the most to say about it!
Maybe you should call boing and say, hey, I'll manage your business employing thousands of people but I'll do it for $200 a week!

noone suggested everyone get the same wage for the same job either. I was responding to many other points in this thread by the way. I post to what is being posted.

my point is not that every job should earn the same wage. My point is that those making profit get carried away at how much MORE profit they can make for their million dollar incomes while continuing to figure out how to pay those workers the least they can ...

they get their chance to go from doing well to doing even better, while those working get to argue about the opportunity to just do for 'anything'

well, since thats pretty constant as well, Id say thats not a cause either.

is the assumption that only democrats use any of the assistance programs? its odd to note then, that it is Republican states that get the most federal assistance from those 'democrats'

Well, I've said before in another thread, don't buy from China, make everything in house but be prepared to pay!
Employment will vary. you can't make something if no one wants it!

I believe we are more than capable of making things people want. Yet, we have to be globally competitive in quality as well as price, while employing Americans to do the job.
