Ron Paul is running for president, though he is not well known he has a very large "fan" base on the internet who is very vocal about him. His main campaing is that he wants small governments. He wants to remove the IRS, CIA, NAFTA, and almost every other government agancy. While this is not possible immeadiatlly, but his ideas of small government haven't been thought in america since its founding. Check this You Tube video out. In the first 30 seconds they show a republican debate, the same one Mitt Romney said that he would double guantanamo, where he criticizes everything the government says about why Al' Quaida hates us and he is write. Check it out and learn about the people that you are going to vote for. Don't blind vote!!!!

I get nervous when I hear someone say that they want to abolish the IRS.

That is pretty darn scary when one thinks about it.

Suppose 65% of the vote went to him.

What then?

huh noway

He is the first person that I have seen running that when asked a tough question he answers it with what he believes, not with rehtoric to evade a bad image.

Most of the money spent by the US is not neccisary. Cutting the IRS wouldn't be a problem if you have a better system.

Your thinking Rue Paul it is a different guy.

And Ron Paul raised more money then any other political candidate and most of the controbutions came from individuals, meaning less then 200 dollars a donation.

Too bad for Ron Paul that this a "media-controlled election", meaning they're bound and detirmined to make sure one of their "safe" choices get in. A wild card like Paul is too unpredictable to them. The media have chosen three people on each side that suit their(media)agenda best.

Republicans:

Rudy Guiliani
Fred Thompson
Mitt Romney

Democrats:

Hillary Clinton
John Edwards
Barak Obama

The media feels, and to an extent, rightly so, that Paul will actually attempt to deliver what he's promised. I say attempt, because the Congress and Senate's still wallowing in the "good ole boy" politics that's part and parcel even today.

Anyone who votes for a Democrat in 08 simply for the promise of pulling out of Iraq is kidding themselves. The goings-on in Iraq will be status quo no matter whether Hillary, Obama, Thompson, Romney, ect, get elected or not.

I do think Paul would try, tho. Of course, as with abolishing the IRS, he'd have to battle the Senate, Congress, and the corporate controlled media(which may just be the most powerful of the three).

Good luck, Ron Paul. You're going to need it. Lots of it.

Well said Knox...your right..Ron Paul can promise a rose garden...but they will never get rid of the IRS. Same goes true with all his other promises, the committees in Congress that control spending etc would never give up this power and it is congress that controls all these things...the President can only Stop bad legislation through veto's.

also, I don't trust anyone with two first nameslaugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

I just looked up Tom Tancredo and the first thing you see on his website is a video that claims "open" borders are alowing islmaic extremists to get into our country. I didn't go any further fear mongering should not be tolerated truthiness is only funny on The Colbert Report, not in real presidential campaigns. I didn't go any further then that video, that video said more then Tom Tancredo knows to an educated person.

You should check out the youtube link i provided. Ron Paul said in a nationaly shown republican debate that the middle east doesn't hate us becasue we are rich & american, and becasue they are evil, but because we are involved in things we shouldn't be over there. The other candidates were spouting off about how they were going to double Guantanamo, Mit Romney, and how they were advocating tourture. Not only does Ron Paul want to go back to the basics of the costitution, but he wants a totally new way of interacting with other countries. Instead of using America's falling influence as a world leader, he will talk to other countries and try to compromise. Ron Paul is noted for sticking to his principles, even when he is the only one with that veiw. While he is not perfect, he is the best chance we as americans have at getting back to the basics.
