how many out there believe in the whole soul mate / prince - princess charming / the right one?

nope that would make me sad to believe that there is only one possibility for love in the world. Cause the probablity of running into that one person in the entire world is pretty slim.

But I do believe that people can find love. Takes time, but all the good things take time.

i believe it to an extent. i dont think it just falls in your lap. i also think you can find love and true happiness from more than 1 person. i do believe there is 1 out there that you will click with and you will both tumble down the rabbit hole together and never stop, you just so "get" each other.

Soulmate - Absolutely! And I agree, that it's quite possible to have more than 1 during the course of a life.

Prince/Princess Charming - Nah. :)

The Right One - Perhaps. But sadly, people so often try to change each other so much to make them become this "right" one, and it's sad. The genuine "right one" won't require any changing at all.

Considering the billions of people out there, there has to be more than just one person. I also believe in a slightly different idea of soul mate. It isn't always a romantic/sexual thing. There is the concept that people tend to reincarnate around many of the same souls. Soul mates can be best friends or a really great parent/child relationship. I rather like that view of soul mates.

If there IS such thing as "soul mate", then I've waisted a heck of a lot of time picking through other peoples soul mates because I sure as heck haven't found mine.

But if I didn't believe in finding the perfect girl I'd stop looking.

I completely agree! If your soul-mate is also your lover, then it is heaven!

As far as prince/princess charming, too often people find physical but no emotional connection, so the relationship does not last. Another pitfall is people making emotion connection, getting into a marriage, and expecting that is all there is because they have found their prince/princess charming. In fact, people need to make real continuing contribution efforts to make it a happy and lasting relationship. How often do we see people become complacent? How many times people feel neglected in a relationship?

How many people claim the person they are with is 'my soul mate?' Then they end up being dumped. I think the whole soul mate thing is silly. There are alot of different people out there that we have lots in common with. It doesn't mean, however, that they are 'the one.'

Thats how I feel. I think that a soul mate is more of a really good friend than the love of your life.

But I also feel that there is someone out there for everyone. I'm a crazy optimist like that haha.

It's hard to find a soulmate to start out with. But there may be multiples.

I actually met mine, and there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever. Period.

I have nothing but doubts about the whole soul-mate thing...
personally I don't think that it exists....Not for me...
But more power for those of you who do find that special someone....I've learned that I lose a sense of self when with a "significant" other...not worth it, not for me...
