It's amazing how many Views I get whenever I change a photo.

Many men view over and over , like stalking!! Never say a word.

However, dozens do not fit my Filters set up.

People posting old pics is a pet peeve of mine. I've met a couple of guys who looked nothing like their pic. I think I said last year in a previous thread that one guy I met had a shaved head with a goatee as his profile pic but when I met him he had longish hair and a beard Santa would have been proud of.

I keep my pics up to date, certainly none older than 3 months.

My pics 10 years old. I am one who apparently doesn't age much, my buds complain about it frequently, that and that I still have hair. LOL FYI I'm about 5 pounds lighter now. From what I hear on these things women are busy looking for deal breakers and aren't really looking at profiles anyway. Gee, isn't that what they complain about men doing drinker

I never take a good picture, but mine are up to date. I just think that if you like my pic, then you will not be disappointed if you meet me.

I'll tell you why straight from the horse's mouth. Make that multiple horse's mouths.

Female friends of mine have told me about several encounters they have had with men who posted old photos. When asked why they did it they all said the same thing: I know what I look like now. I'm old. I'm fat. Would anyone agree to meet me if I showed them what I look like now? At least this way I have a chance - if someone will forgive my initial deception perhaps they will grow to like my personality - to like me for the person I am.

I don't personally agree with nor endorse this tactic - I am merely sharing what I have been told many times.

Kind of reminds me of an old school door to door salesman, shoves the foot in the door when it opens. Problem wouldn't work well now days.

A Liar?

I agree with your sentiment.

How can a good relationship be built on lies?
If the foundation is a lie then the entire relationship is built on a lie.
Why would anyone WANT that?

they feel like its their best pics and the best pics to attract someone and they think they can win you over with their sparkling personality.

Talking about delusionals.

I know when I first started Online meeting, I ran into this problem, so I decided before I meet anyone else I would do a video chat with them whether its skype, what app etc.

If they avoid doing that then I know they are hiding something.

I met a few men in person, they said women they met didn't look like their picture on that dating site. They were older and some oversized.
One man said he met a woman, she turned out to be a female impersonator.
He did tell him before he fell for him, during a dinner date.

shocked My friend said if he hadn't told him, before sex, he would have punched him out !!!

My friend went his own way after that.

To tell you the truth I would rather not have a pic up. And I don't many times. If you are not attracted to my mind.. then what is the point?

I met a man once from St Louis he never had a picture up! He had great conversation on emailing me, so I decided to meet in person. He did send personal photo right before I met in person. He was average looking.

Most Men will never meet inperson with any women who does not have a Photo posted on date site. Men are very Visual .

I have met a few from this site and we both exchanged photos before we met. one reason being is want to know who I am looking for at the restaurant. And I think it only normal to see a recent pic if you have intensions of meeting.

One of the things Ive learned over the years is if you hit it off with someone online, either skype or go through whats app before the meet and greet.

At least with a video chat you can see they are real, if they embellished the photos and they are who they say they are and vice versa for them.

I found by doing this it cuts down on the misleading among other things.

Most scammers and spammers dont want to speak through video.

in my own defense my profile pic is a year old. it is the only pic of me I have that is newer than 4 years. some of us just don't take pictures of ourselves, we are not that vain. I personally have searched the internet 3 times in the last 4 years and have found no pictures at all of myself using multiple search engines. while I do have an internet footprint, it is often a decade old or more and has out of date information, and no pictures.

you want to get to know me, talk to me. you want to know what I really look like, skype video chat works well for that purpose.

I don't lie, I don't hide behind a younger pic, I just literally only have perhaps 5 pics of myself and only 3 of them in the last 4 years because they have my cat in the pic and are very unflattering in any case.
