it is esoteric yes if your focus isn't on the question, your subconscious mind will play tricks on you. spirits could and will communicate with you. Be very careful though and make sure you have cleansed the area with white sage before starting or pazuzu may come through. if you ask a name and get either momo mama or zozo close the connection right away. there are also malicious spirits out there. always be sure of the entities intent. be safe!! once the door is open it can be hard to close if inexperienced. OT... To some they are a game, to some they are a tool to connect with the spirit world. I personally don't believe you need a tool to connect with the spirit world, it's more of a prop kind of thing, like candles and other gadgets we use to set the tone. No different than turning the lights down low and lighting candles for a romantic dinner, it gives it ambiance and helps put you in that mind set, creates atmosphere.

In my opinion, it's not the ouija board that's dangerous. What's dangerous is trying to connect with the spirit world without knowing what you are doing. It's just not wise!

Its purely imagination.

Never get one, use one, and throw it away. yep, speaking from experience

It doesn't work unless you know how to use it. I am saying with experience, tried many many times with my sister and friends, nothing happened. But when one mother and daughter participated it worked immediately, they knew what to do and everything came true. I was shocked how real it was, that was decades ago but I will never forget that.

Its purely imagination.

As a kid we did lots of things.
Levitation
Throwing bones (chicken bones)
Crosses upside down
Chanting
My sister even drew a big pentagram on her bedroom floor and we tried summoning a demon.
We spent nights in the graveyard (sometimes with an Ouija Board).
Visited the "local haunted house" at night (went in).
Spent many nights on 'the hill' waiting for the old woman's ghost to pass by with her lantern.

Of all the stuff we did, absolutely nothing actually happened besides scaring ourselves.

It seems the more 'religious' I became the more 'fear' I felt.
When I let go of religion, my fear went away.

Businessman Elijah Bond had the idea to patent a planchette sold with a board on which the alphabet was printed, much like the previously existing talking boards. Bond filed on May 28, 1890 for patent protection and thus is credited with the invention of the Ouija board.

A commercial parlor game, nothing more.

Charles Kennard (founder of Kennard Novelty Company which manufactured Fuld's talking boards and where Fuld had worked as a varnisher) claimed he learned the name "Ouija" from using the board and that it was an ancient Egyptian word meaning "good luck."
Aka product reinforcement marketing.

The secret is to stay the he'll away from that ****; it will mess you up, especially as most of you don't know what you're about, let alone ouija, or simply want entertainment. You are making yourselves easy marks for unsavory entities.

Whoever plays with this Quija board - stop it, burn it, do not engage with this thing. It is used to get in touch with the demonic and yes it is dangerous. Have enough eye witnesses that can attest to that. But besides that, demons can and will take the opportunity to harass, torture and even kill a person (all happened already - and yes as a result of playing with the occult - not only Quija).
The only way to really get rid of demons again is through the power and in the name of Jesus Christ.
You might not believe in this, you might have tried it and think nothing happened, you never know, doesn't always happen instantly. I have personally dealt with a lot of people that got involved with the occult and found themselves in serious trouble, so this is just a warning.
You can believe whatever you want about this or God, but anybody out here reading this, who has difficulties, troubles, harassment, nightmares, apparitions, paranormal activities, sicknesses and diseases, depressions and suicidal thoughts, hears voices, etc. mainly because of these things, there is a way to get rid of it, just want you to know that.
Everyone can believe what they want, I am not here to convince you but to tell the truth about it, what you do with it is up to you.
I agree. Don't mess with the Ouija board unless you know how to use it properly.

Well, the only way to properly use it is to burn it, you shouldn't play with it, there is no other "proper" use of the occult.

It's hard to Believe that the ouija Board was a child's game...from my experience in a ouija if played wrong or messing around with can Bring in Negative spirits..you got to know what your doing and know how to close it down.

I give the ouija a wide birth...its not to be messed with.

It allows the user to open up enough to other spirits and use it as a form of communication.

It's the equivalent of chasing snipes; lots of noise but nothing to hold on to.
