What exactly makes you scornful of someone's photo, that makes you want to run away, just as you click the "no" bottun?

I prefer to focus on the positive. Nice looking eyes and a smile make me go "Hmmmm, maybe!"

Physical chemistry is important.... there has to be something there that makes you want to say yes! However, personality always makes or breaks any person regardless of physical chemistry..... of course every now and then pure lust might not hurt either !!

I also had a Aunt who had a mustache, she was a sweet lovable lady and every Easter we would have to go to her house to visit. And she was a hugger and kisser... us boys dreaded it. My father could see it on our faces.. but he gave us the " tough, that is your family" look.
She always gave us a brand new dollar bill.. so it was a trade off. |

someone who is not smiling,or frowning in all of their photos is a huge turn off to me when it comes to the photos,as it speaks towards their personality.
[or,lack of one!!] also,photos taken in a filthy,cluttered house also speaks of laziness,and a lack of self esteem. as for the profiles,i tend to psychoanalyze them by what they write! whenever somebody spends their whole 'about me' section ranting about what they dont want,describing how terrible their last significant other was,or talking about how everybody is fake,or just looking for a piece of A**,instead of describing themselves,i think the psychology behind that type of personality tells me everything i need to know about them. dating-site-to-english translation: why cant i find a REAL man? = decent men avoid me like the plague! profiles like THAT where they dont describe themselves,and also ones where they dont feel the need to post a photo also speak towards a narcissistic personality,and laziness/apathy since they feel that people should just blindly desire them,sight unseen,without any effort on their part to tell everybody WHY they would be desirable. [and,then comes the 'why-cant-i-find-a-real-man' victim mentality'] sorry,people....on a dating site,it is a target rich enviornment,and you have to be able to sell yourself,or else nobody is going to pay any attention to your bland,nuerotic profile when there are LOTS of profiles where there are people are actually willing to be a little bit vulnerable,and put themselves out there for people to see,and examine. in other words,you cant catch any fish,unless you are willing to put a little bit of bait on the hook!... OR,the ones that you do happen to snag are the bottom feeders who will message ANYTHING with a pulse that nobody would want in the first place! [which brings us back to the 'why-cant-i-find-a-real-man' starting point.] i have seen quite a few profile on here of people that i find VERY desirable,based on their profiles.  and,i have also found profiles that i logically think should send people screaming off into the night as they quickly run as far away from them as they can get. but,just remember...NOBODY is perfect!!! and,what does YOUR profile say about YOU?? |
