'Horseface': Does it matter that Trump ridicules women?

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Suffice it to say that "Horseface" and porn actress Stormy Daniels aren't what Republicans want to talk about three weeks from the midterm elections — or ever. A record number of women are running, most of them Democrats, in the first balloting of the #MeToo era.

No matter. President Donald Trump this week added "Horseface" to a long list of unflattering references to women, including: Fat, ugly, disgusting, "that dog," ''a 10," ''no longer a 10," a slob, "Miss Piggy," ''Miss Housekeeping," wacky and crazy".

They are getting ready to come after your Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. It's been known for years that Republicans want to use funds from these programs for there gain. Paul Ryan, If he had his way it would already be in the pockets of the rich. Money "YOU and I" paid into these programs.

MITCH MCCONNELL CALLS FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, MEDICAID CUTS AFTER PASSING TAX CUTS, MASSIVE DEFENSE SPENDING

After instituting a $1.5 trillion tax cut and signing off on a $675 billion budget for the Department of Defense, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday that the only way to lower the record-high federal deficit would be to cut entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

"It’s disappointing, but it’s not a Republican problem," McConnell said of the deficit, which grew 17 percent to $779 billion in fiscal year 2018. McConnell explained to Bloomberg that "it’s a bipartisan problem: Unwillingness to address the real drivers of the debt by doing anything to adjust those programs to the demographics of America in the future." The deficit has increased 77 percent since McConnell became majority leader in 2015.

New Treasury Department analysis on Monday revealed that corporate tax cuts had a significant impact on the deficit this year. Federal revenue rose by 0.04 percent in 2018, a nearly 100 percent decrease on last year’s 1.5 percent. In fiscal year 2018, tax receipts on corporate income fell to $205 billion from $297 billion in 2017.

Still, McConnell insisted that the change had nothing to do with a lack of revenue or increased spending and instead was due to entitlement and welfare programs. The debt, he said, was very “disturbing” and driven by “the three big entitlement programs that are very popular, Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid.… There’s been a bipartisan reluctance to tackle entitlement changes because of the popularity of those programs. Hopefully, at some point here, we’ll get serious about this.”

Mitch McConnell on Rising Deficit: ‘It’s Not a Republican Problem'

"“It’s disappointing, but it’s not a Republican problem. It’s a bipartisan problem: unwillingness to address the real drivers of the debt by doing anything to adjust those programs to the demographics of America in the future.”

McConnell also called the failure to reform entitlements “the single biggest disappointment” of his time in Congress and said that, because of the popularity of the programs in question and the risk of a political backlash, entitlement reform likely has to come through bipartisan compromise. “I think it’s pretty safe to say that entitlement changes, which is the real driver of the debt by any objective standard, may well be difficult if not impossible to achieve when you have unified government,” he said.

The context: McConnell’s comments, in an interview with Bloomberg, come a day after the Treasury Department said that the deficit grew to $779 billion in fiscal 2018, up 17 percent from the year before".

"Democrats argue that it’s unfair to single out safety-net programs for blame — and to put them on the chopping block — when repeated tax cuts and unfunded wars have contributed mightily to the debt over the last 20 years.

Democratic leaders seized on McConnell’s comments as evidence that Republicans were pursuing an agenda aimed at shrinking the government by starving it of revenue via tax cuts for the rich and then slashing safety-net programs for low- and middle-income Americans. “It's gaslighting for the GOP to blow a $2 trillion hole in the deficit to give the rich a tax cut then suggest cutting Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid as the only fix for that new deficit,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tweeted Tuesday.

This is the classic Republican party. Trump gives the rich a big tax cut. Then try to take the money from the ones that worked the hardest to get it. The ones that are going to need it when they get older. We've paid into the system for years. Only to have Republicans threatening to take it away.

Democratic victory in November would put Trump under a microscope

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - If Democrats win control of the U.S. House of Representatives or Senate next month, nearly every aspect of Donald Trump's presidency could face swift examination – from his long-elusive tax returns to possible business ties with Russia and conflicts of interest, congressional sources say".

It’s True: Trump Is Lying More, and He’s Doing It on Purpose

"On Thursday, the Washington Post published a remarkable story on its front page revealing a recent spike in the number of “false and misleading claims” made by President Trump. In his first year as President, Trump made 2,140 false claims, according to the Post. In just the last six months, he has nearly doubled that total to 4,229. In June and July, he averaged sixteen false claims a day. On July 5th, the Post found what appears to be Trump’s most untruthful day yet: Seventy-six percent of the ninety-eight factual assertions he made in a campaign-style rally in Great Falls, Montana, were “false, misleading or unsupported by evidence".

So premiums increased 69% over 3 years and now going down 1.5% :disappointed: people are expected to drop out in 2019 because the mandate ends. Where is the stability?

Twitter Agog At Trump Whopper That Californians Are 'Rioting' Over Sanctuary Cities

"President Donald Trump insisted Saturday at a Nevada campaign rally that Californians are “rioting” in protest of sanctuary cities.

No one knew what he was talking about.

Twitter was dumbfounded.

Trump also again derided black congresswoman Maxine Waters, a California Democrat, as a “low IQ individual,” an insult he largely reserves for her and one that others have called racist".

First of all the whole idea of a sanctuary city is ridiculous..it's more like a door way to the rest of the U.S..I mean sure if they want to have a sanctuary city then by all means go ahead..just make sure you can contain them within your city..You can't ..and since you can't then you have no right to expose the other cities or states to illegals that don't belong there and who don't want them there..their rights should be respected as well

Why no one has brought up this argument is beyond me..smokin

Paul Krugman Warns Trump Is Poised To Disregard Democratic House Victory

"New York Times columnist Paul Krugman fears that President Donald Trump’s insistent complaints of “voter fraud” are a setup to deny the legitimacy of a Democratic majority in the House should the party win in the midterm elections.

Those who don’t believe such a scenario is possible “haven’t been paying attention,” the Nobel laureate warned".

Trump says eyeing a 10 percent middle income tax cut plan

"WASHINGTON, Oct 22 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House as he departed on a trip to campaign in Texas, said on Monday his administration plans to produce a resolution calling for a 10 percent tax cut for middle income earners.

"Trump said on Saturday his administration was studying a tax cut to be rolled out some time around the beginning of November just before congressional elections, even though lawmakers are out of town campaigning and Congress is not in session.

It was not immediately clear what he meant by producing a resolution".

http://www.reuters.com/article/usa-trump-taxcuts/trump-says-eyeing-a-10-percent-middle-income-tax-cut-plan-idUSW1N1VJ02O

"We're putting in a resolution sometime in the next week or week-and-a-half, two weeks," Trump said. So that means never. But honestly...how does he expect to pay for ANOTHER tax cut? Just repeal the initial tax cut given to the wealthy and corporations, and cut spending (including defense)?

We are already going in the hole. Billions every month from the last Tax cut.
Do not be fooled, Social Security is not contributing to the deficit.
The only reason Medicare is raising a bit is due to the ineptitude and malfeasance of the Republicans in Congress and the Senate.

It was McConnell that passed the bill that says Medicare is not allowed to negotiate its pharmaceutical costs, if you do not remember that, point as one example of how they have disrupted the entire healthcare market.
We need a huge infrastructure bill to be passed, to upgrade and fix America's Roads, Bridges, Tunnels, Transit, and so many other neglected problems that will cost $2 trillion dollars. That would be a true economic stimulus to the American Economy. Not a meaningless blimp of a tax cut that never has worked except for a few short months.

Remember TRICKLE DOWN? means trickle up to the Rich,
it has never worked. Even Reagan had to come back and add tax increases, during his administration when they realized Tax cuts just lowered the revenue. But the spending even if not increased would still cause a deficit since so much less revenue was coming into the treasury.

Does anyone actually think this is anything but a disparage campaign ploy? Congress won't do anything on another tax cut. They are too busy trying to slash funds for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. It seems they noticed their first tax cut for the rich and for business (along with the largest increase in military spending EVER) wasn't good for reducing the deficit. A 10% tax cut for the middle class could never be explained unless an equal amount was "saved" by slashing social programs.

This explains all the hate at Trump rallies. Could they really be thinly veiled KKK racists rallies?

Why Donald Trump Declaring Himself A 'Nationalist' Is So Loaded

"In one of the more jarring moments from President Donald Trump’s campaign rally Monday night, he proudly declared himself a nationalist.

“It’s called a nationalist,” Trump said during his Houston rally when rebuking globalist foreign policy. “And I say, really, we’re not supposed to use that word. You know what I am? I’m a nationalist, OK? I’m a nationalist.”

It’s clear he knows the word is loaded. In its mildest implication, Merriam-Webster defines it as a belief system “placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations.” But it’s been prominently used by white supremacists in recent years to emphasize that some countries or regions should be defined by a white racial identity ― a trend Trump is well aware of given the rise of news about the ideology during his presidency".
