so, it seems this lady was assaulted in school at a party, confirmed by previous therapy notes, verification with the husband, and a lie detector test.

It seems like when she first heard Kavanaugh may be put forth, she wrote a letter (in LATE July) to Feinstein, but requested anonymity in it, which Feinstein honored.

It seems a news source, The Intercept reported on Sep 12 that Feinstein received such a letter that she was not turning over.

it seems that Feinstein then on Sep 13 confirmed the possession of the letter and that she had turned it over to 'investigators'

so ... the lady probably cant do much except ruin a man's reputation with her claim. sexual misconduct is very hard to PROVE especially decades later, when it is only a he said/she said, but that doesnt stop people from ostracizing or outcasting the alleged suspect.

anyway, they were in high school and decades have passed, people can change ALOT from high school or even college, into adulthood. What matters most is a trend where people have NOT changed and are engaging consistently in a certain way.

Feinstein's hand was forced with the Intercept report, and she did what was right.

I really dont care how stupid people were as young people, as long as they evolved and matured. I think that is what the final decision should be made on, the character of a candidate, not in only one point in time, but over their lifetime, especially in their capacity to grow and learn and evolve.

If his character is collectively showing as sexist and privileged, or if he still gets so drunk as to impede judgment so severely, it should be a concern, but not just because of one evening in his younger years, UNLESS there was a crime for which he was not prosecuted, which is a different matter.
Confirmed?
How?

therapy notes from 2012 and 2013, comments from her husband regarding her therapy, and a lie detector test in August by a former FBI agent.

you'd be laughed out of a Court if you came up with this kind of circular "Evidence"!
Where is your independent Corroboration?

laugh

in your courtroom expertise, you are aware that testimony AND evidence are significant parts of the process to find guilt or 'innnocence' ... surely.

Kavanaugh accuser calls for FBI investigation before she testifies

"The woman who has accused Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, Christine Blasey Ford, is calling for an FBI investigation before testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. And Ford's lawyers admonished the committee for scheduling the hearing so soon after her allegations became public".

Fast times at Holton-Arms High when Christine Blasey Ford was a student there
By Thomas Lifson

Since high school keg parties at the elite prep schools attended by Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey are now a matter of consuming interest to the Democrat-media complex, it is perhaps telling that the high school yearbooks of Holton-Arms, the school attended by Blasey, have been scrubbed from the web. The blog Cult of the First Amendment says:

On Monday Sept. 17th, Christine Blasey Ford's high school yearbooks suddenly disappeared from the web. I read them days before, knew they would be scrubbed, and saved them. Why did I know they would be scrubbed? Because if roles were reversed, and Christine Blasey Ford had been nominated for the Supreme Court by President Trump, the headline by the resistance would be this:

CHRISTINE BLASEY FORD AND THE DRUNKEN WHITE PRIVILEGED RACIST PLAYGIRLS OF HOLTON-ARMS.

And it would be an accurate headline. That's why the yearbooks have been scrubbed. They are a testament to the incredible power these girls had over their teachers, parents and the boys of Georgetown Prep, Landon and other schools in the area. In the pages below, you will see multiple photos and references to binge drinking and the accompanying joy of not being able to remember any of it.

These yearbooks are, therefore, relevant to the national investigation now being conducted in the media, in homes, and in the halls of Congress. And they should not have been scrubbed. If Brett Kavanaugh's yearbooks are fair game, so are these.

And you will wonder while reading them, why the hell did the faculty approve of these yearbooks? Why did the parents take out paid ads in these yearbooks? Animal House had nothing on the infamous "Holton party scene".

The resistance media has been singularly focused on Brett Kavanaugh's high school yearbooks, which imply that he got drunk and threw up. There's no need to imply anything from the Holton-Arms yearbooks. It's all there in focus, and the written word too. All of the sordid details as approved for publication by a "look the other way" faculty. And now it's available for historical/evidentiary review.

It is to this wild Holton culture we must look in order to shed light on the last minute accusation by Christine Blasey. And in the official high school chronicles of this era, we find many names of people who can provide relevant evidence.

Christine "Chrissy" Blasey alleges she cannot recall the exact date, place or names of people who were at the party in question. This research is intended to refresh her recollection and the recollections of others who may recall key facts. (In this report, last names have been redacted and faces obscured, other than the picture of Chrissy Blasey seen below.)

If drunken keg parties were so common, isn't it possible that over the last three decades, some memories could have been confused? Especially since the first time Blasey Ford – a leftist political activist – apparently "recovered" the memory and claims to have spoken of the allegation was when it was believed that Kavanaugh might be appointed to the Supreme Court?

Those who are interested can examine the many pages that are claimed to come from the yearbooks and make their own judgments. I am not familiar with the blog or blogger, but the veracity of the pages is certainly subject to investigation and verification.

The most revealing page in that regard is this one, which seems to indicate that drunken keg parties were a frequent pastime for the Holton-Arms girls:

the first mention was in 2012 to a THERAPIST, while he was still a federal judge and six years before nomination to SCOTUS.

I dont know how many people have been assaulted here, but I know that if I saw my attacker rising in the ranks, it would bother me more and more to the point where I MIGHT eventually seek therapy. and if that person was to hold a position as high as SCOTUS, a LIFETIME appointment, I may have some contribution to add as well.

again, not having a pony in the race, I think both sides are jumping the gun to making it an issue, UNLESS AND UNTIL it ties in with a pattern that should cause concern for someone in position to make Supreme Court decisions for the rest of their life.

35 years after the alleged incident....35 years

Why so long to report lady

what was there to report? there was no rape or 'crime' and according to others here, it was not considered unusual.

But it may seem like a red flag for a potential SCOTUS, IF they have shown a pattern of similar behavior since that time. IF they have, it could be a reflection on how objective they might be on cases which involve women's rights, for instance.

I dont think she wanted her name mentioned, only an investigation into the candidate's character when it comes to his history with females.

But Im sure she will answer all those questions when she finally testifies.

I Don't buy the entire set up... and it is a set up

Had she made mention of it over the Years. Maybe. 35 years later. Nope.

I'm not a woman, I don't know what sort of trauma goes with it. But I can apply this episode to what I experienced, to her, and what I can recall.

March 15 1980. I remember that day fully. I broke both bones in my left leg. From the moment before. I was going south on a motorcycle. When I hit the ground, I knew I'd screwed up. That leg burned, it hurt so bad. I got hauled off to the hospital, after I ORDERED the ambulance crew to let me get on a backboard, on my side. I griped at them all the way, to go slower, because that road was rough. They made me wait for an hour and a half in the emergency room for treatment. I remember going in, coming out and when they got me in bed. I remember who saw me, even what time I went to sleep.

That, was 38 years ago. Because it was so traumatic, I remember every bit of that day.

Ok so WHY can't Christine Ford remember the details? No day, date or time. Sounds to me like she just might have been drunk, and she just might be more than a smidge fuzzy over what might have happened. If anything did. Teens are notorious for getting sick on their drinking binges. Could she have lost her cookies and they were just cleaning her up?

If I can remember, why can't she?

Would fer if she's getting Paid! Or is she just another Democrat with an agenda! Hopefully she will get justice if she is legit.

However, Trump will stay in Office, it will take more than that to get him out.

Oh wait, Demos working on getting the Judge nominee out. That may happen.

If so, another. Conservative needs to be put in his place.

Accuser of Trump's court nominee sets conditions for testifying.

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A lawyer for the woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s U.S. Supreme Court nominee, of sexual assault told a Senate panel on Thursday she would not testify on Monday as Republicans want but would be willing to appear sometime next week if certain terms were met".

If it happened, it doesn't matter if it was yesterday or 35 years ago, if he did do as accused, then he should pay the penalty for it. Even if it is 35 years late. Trump says he only hires the best. So far, it seems that the statement hasn't worked out for him very well.

Trump's Vow to Hire the 'Best People' Isn't Panning Out
Steve Bannon, a former top official in the Trump campaign and the White House, was reported to have said (as he was leaving his job as chief strategist last August) that he was sick of being a “wet nurse to a 71-year-old man".

everyone is not wired the same.

I was assaulted thirty years ago, twice in three years in fact, but I could not tell you the date, time, and the other details. I don't remember the name of the one that went unreported. At this point, thirty years later, I dont even remember which assault happened first.

However, I do remember the name of the one who was because it went to trial. I remember the trial. I remember the 'what' of that day. Some people go through trauma and remember the details, some go through it and the mind blocks out a lot, and some fall in between.

trauma is not a one size fits all event.

Trump attacks Kavanaugh’s accuser in a string of despicable tweets

"President Trump has finally done the unthinkable — and yet it was somehow expected. Friday morning he took to Twitter to attack Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. Dr. Blasey has until now escaped Trump's direct wrath — to the surprise of many. But by Friday Trump was no longer holding back. He's come out expressing doubt as to the veracity of Ford's claims and is continuing his ongoing defense of Kavanaugh". http://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-attacks-kavanaugh-accuser-string-134819897.html

Getting into this doesn't help Trump's image at all. If it does turn out that this guy did do what this woman says he did, then Trump has aligned himself with a rapist. That's not smart at all. This man never seems to know when to shut his mouth.

Two young teens drinking at a party, could be the fault falls on both individuals.
Since there is no real facts., Like some here on Political forum Always ask for, they should wait til the Woman testifies.

Again no investigation necessary, not a criminal offense for the FBI.

She wants Kavanaugh to testify before she gives any statement to anyone. Have we stepped back in time? Is this now the 12th century? Would you dems like to burn the heretic, before she even is asked the first question? Why don't we just let her wipe her behind with the Constitution, and be done with it?

Actually, The dems are denying Kavanaugh his Miranda rights. He has to defend himself, before he knows what particulars he's being accused of.

This, is like a murder. The killer comes up and shoots you, then gets immunity from prosecution for killing you.

This could be the dems undoing in November. I hope so. Then we can sit back, and tell you that you screwed yourselves.

There's a process that absolutely must be followed for any medical records, and a therapist is bound by them, that says specific permissions must be made in order for them to be viewed (permissions, the Dr Ford would have to explicitly make) for said medical records to be released. HIPAA laws and regulations.

From everything I've gathered, she's made her vague claims, and can't provide evidence to substantiate them. Legally, she has nothing to stand on. Makes for a great smear campaign based on slander and defamation of character, which seems to almost always get a pass within politics. The claim is only being made to make him look bad.

It's being pushed by people who knew about it prior... that "held this back upon request of the victim." This smells to me. Feinstein is no angel of mercy. She's a career politician that manages to convince enough people IN THE BIG CITIES that's she's looking out for them when all she's doing is looking out for herself, her career, and whatever power she can get. She's no respecter of the U.S. Constitution.

Also of note: Since Ford's social media has been scrubbed, along with her online yearbooks... it lends to the questions about her own history and if it actually went against her allegations.

Kavenaugh has no pattern of this illicit, immoral, and illegal behavior on record. People have stood up as character witnesses for Kavenaugh. The people around Ford at the time this allegedly happened have different recollections of said events, with a common thread of it not happening.

Bill Clinton has a pattern. Yeah, the people involved aren't exactly high society, but they've been shamed, belittled, and ridiculed into silence for their speaking out. (Had Bill been anybody else, I seriously doubt their claims, with explicit details, would have been so readily dismissed.)

Our Constitution states that we are innocent UNTIL proven otherwise. Sexual molestation/misconduct is a serious allegation/crime. A false claim ruins the lives of those innocents wrongfully accused. If Kavenaugh is indeed guilty, stop procrastinating: bring forth the evidence and charge him already. That isn't the real goal here though, and Ford, in the end, will get a pass for her part in an attempt to destroy a man who is a political enemy.

Meanwhile... what is going on in Congress that they want us distracted from?

Regardless... It's Trump's opinion on who the best is.... and, as usual, when politics are involved, "the best" isn't even close when that "best" is from/representing a political adversary/enemy regardless of if they are or not.
