I dont see how people or nations could preemptively manage and control the free travel of their own citizens, especially those choosing to do that travel through covert means. It would be like if we suddenly charged gun manufacturers when gun owners chose to use the guns illicitly. At the end of the day, individuals make their own choices and have their own consequences.

That might be a good idea.

If nations can regulate who comes in, why can't they regulate who goes out?
Start holding nations responsible for the illegal exodus of their people and you might see a reduction over-all.
Ya might be surprised how effective it is once it gets started.

Personally, I think everyone should be able to migrate to any place on Earth if they so choose. That's not gunna happen.

Here, I have an idea on how to get a handle on illegal immigrants in any country that is part of the United Nations.

A Variable Fine

Here's how it could work...

Anytime a nation (any nation) has to catch and deport illegal immigrants, the immigrants parent nation is fined.
They are fined for all the costs related to removing that individual from their country. In addition, there is a fine assessed for each offense.

Not a bad idea.

We Europeans do it a bit different, though. We pay them to go back. Isn't that clever?? Spending even more money on unjustified "asylum seekers" and "refugees". Giving them even more reasons to 'nock on our doors! They loose nothing. Either they're granted asylum or they get a pile of money. How much? About $5k each. But some really clever ones will rise that to about $12k! I don't know the price of a camel, but I guess you get a few for $12k..

Shall we cry or laugh?

if the liberals have their way they will adopt that same policy and we will all be crying. They refuse Mexico's offer of asylum while waving the flags of the country they left, so much for claims of persecution , they throw rocks and bottles at the people they are looking to for help. I do believe most want to come hear for a better life but there ares rules to follow. Just ask the people that come here the legal way. I blame the past policies of catch and release that makes it very tempting to make that long journey. Unfortunately they did not heed the warning from president Trump that they would not be allowed entry. So when you see children running from tear gas it is heart wrinching but the parents have most of the blame for putting their kids through such pain and hardship . Build the wall and start the incentive to come the legal way and all people will be much safer

It is already been safe as it will get. the only change is the way its being used politically by media to divide and invoke fear.

sure, but that goes both ways. For weeks now the media has been telling us nothing to worry about , there is no problem on the border, so just ignore the fact there are thousands coming to the U.S. Besides accepting them will make us better so look the other way and don't be concerned .

Honduran migrant Ana Zuniga, 23, said she saw migrants open a small hole in concertina wire at a gap on the Mexican side of a levee, at which point U.S. agents fired tear gas at them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

so this is how aliens apply for asylum.. by cutting holes in our border and trying to sneak in?

I saw many interviews this week with " asylum " seekers. Not one stated a case for asylum based on our criteria for asylum.

But all said they were coming ...to get a job.

the gullible left.......

US agents fire tear gas as some migrants try to breach fence

"TIJUANA, Mexico (AP) — Hundreds of migrants approaching the U.S. border from Mexico were enveloped with tear gas Sunday after several tried to make it past fencing and wire separating the two countries".

Not what the far right usually says. They usually say that they want to come here to get free everything. And that's far from the whole truth.

Truth is, they are willing to take the jobs that Americans are too proud to take. Many of the right gripe about these people coming over here and taking our jobs.

But many times, that person who complains about them coming here and taking our jobs if you offered that person a job emptying trash cans, they would say, "No". Because that kind of work is below them.

For these people, it's a step up. They will do that, shovel shyt or dig a ditch. It matters none to them.

So, until we can find Americans that are willing to do these jobs, in the meantime, they gotta be done by someone. And since these people are not like most spoiled Americans that think they are too good to work in a field picking watermelons, well, they will try to get into this country in any way they can think of.

Because these people really know what it's like to do without. They know what it's like to go hungry. At least these people are willing to work. And don't mind getting dirty.

It's not right to cut a hole in the fence to try to get through. But at the same time, I can understand their desperation.

Mike Rowe explains the struggling job market in one word: “spoiled”

From 2016

"Former “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe, an often vocal advocate for trades and all things blue collar, was a guest on Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s show and argued that “spoiled” American workers who don’t want to get their hands dirty have contributed to job market problems".

Hey Charles.. did this convoy of people not say they were seeking asylum? Was that not the theme from day one?

So I will ask the question one more time. What persecution are they fleeing from? What country is threatening their life because of race, politics or religion?

Don't tell me they re afraid of gang because we got them here too.

And if you at now saying that asylum seeking is not the case then this convoy is here just to seek U.S. residency.. no other reason.
Then sorry it doesn't work that way.

Just because they marched and demanded does not give them right to gain entry into our country. And it certainly does not give them the right to try to sneak in by cutting our barriers

Because if that was the case then the next group will be twice as large as this group.. then the next 4 times as large.. so on and so on

Simple math.

Or maybe we pull a " Mexico maneuver" and allow them in as long as they keep walking to Canada ;). We will put up bogus roadblocks and troops that stand down and move to the side as they come thru.... you know.. give the "impression" of trying to stop them.

There is no guaranteed right. There is a process by which those outside the US can seek refugee status for any number of situations, for which there is an OFFICIAL who accepts forms and conducts interviews to make that determination.

Perhaps if there were less military filliblustering by the CIA and such in central and south america, it could flourish, and then they wouldn't want to come to your country in the first place

There will always be asylum seekers. For instance, little known fact, the largest numbers of refugee in the states are from Asia and Europe, where not much 'oppressive' activity would be associated with by most people's rigid standards for those currently on their way from the south.

lol ....well, if immigration is any indication, I have been through the process, and it is far from simple, so good luck with that.

If asylum seekers enter the USA legally, then I have no problem with them.

Get in line, wait your turn. Simple.
