What was the experience you have for the first time you fall in love ?

That was a really long time ago, lol. I remember visiting my father in Florida, I lived in Upstate NY, I met a guy in the neighborhood and it was love a first sight. I lived in a fantasy world at that point in my mid-teens (16 yrs old) and the movie "Grease" had just come out. I imagined him being Danny and I was Sandy, lol. I ended up moving down to Florida with my Dad to reconnect with the so-called love of my life...

... Huge mistake! slaphead laugh No regrets today though, I wouldn't be who I am if not for all the silly mistakes and experiences I've had.

The thing I remember most about first loves are the butterflies in the stomach and chills running through my body at the slightest touch from him.... a feeling I've not felt in a really long time ohwell

So you've been touched by a guy who works in the freezer at the grocery store after eating a Monarch? tongue2

It happened when I was but a wee Melmacian. My first love was a cat soufflé.

I watched in anticipation as a cook prepared it. It was beautiful.

Just as the soufflé was rising to perfection, the community belching choir began rehearsing in a neighboring building. The shock wave that they created reached the soufflé, causing it to collapse.

I was heartbroken. I still get emotional when talking about it.

Oh, if you think that the community belching choir was bad, then be thankful that you weren't around when the community flatulence orchestra had rehearsals.

It was like the world disappeared and all there was was us ... long time ago. We could talk about anything, go through anything together and come out stronger. we could enjoy time together talking or being completely silent. I could look at him and see all the warmth and hope in his soul and be a part of it.

...like I said though, long time ago.

In retrospect, I'm not sure.

I changed several times, in what I thought of things I felt about the opposite sex.

I started wanting a girlfriend, when I was in kindergarten. Not for sex, of course, I wasn't even aware of sex as a thing, until much much later.

I was too shy by far, to act on my attractions at all, until I was in high school. Even then, I'm not sure that most of my relationships constituted being "in love." Not the way that so many people describe it.

I've only had the "fun" version of being in love a couple of times, and neither relationship went anywhere. My longest relationships (five years and twenty) were so fraught with anxiety and confusion, I'm really not sure that being "in love" played more than a fleeting part in them.

You will feel it if you meet the right guy. Been there, and it's every bit as freaking awesome as when you were so young. Actually, even better because you are an adult. It's in a way more mature. Not puppy love, but genuine intense deep love and the butterflies & chills with it.
I remember when we first met, we couldn't stop touching one another. And kissing. It was the oddest sense. Instant recognition. The feeling "I know you and I need to totally absorb your energy (again)!" hence the touching and kissing. It was unbelievable, like nothing I'd ever experienced before.
And the kissing, OMG!! It'd been 31 years since I'd kissed and felt that click & chemistry, it being just right. He had never been kissed like that. Odd how rare that can be?
But the butterflies, the intensity of eye-contact, dang...
I was 50 at the time, he 54. So it is very possible. And with the right guy, even better than in the past!
