You do realize that internet height and real life height are 2 different creature?

Online I'm 6'6", in real life I'm a little under 5'11.

Oh crap, I just told the truth, that isn't allowed online either.slaphead

Why do you assume everyone online lies?

I would like to find a gentleman that is at least 2-3 inches taller than I am and within 5 years of my age or close to it. I would prefer them on the younger side since a lot of men look older than they are. With age and height, there seems to few choices. I am a bit curvy but am told I am nice looking. I did have one gentleman that was tall and 66 that told me I was a beautiful lady. I'm still looking.

Just a general announcement: I'm really 6'1", I'm really 62 (Virgo) and my pic is 4/5 months old.

I DON'T assume ANYTHING about people on or off line.
Is seems SOME people on the forums are assuming that ALL my posts should be taken seriously though.whoa

When I heard Brad Paisley's song "Online" I didn't assume he was really talking about himself, I didn't assume he was being serious about EVERYONE online, I took it as satirical expression about SOME people online.

Well I'm not assuming, I'm going by what you wrote and you said internet height is different than real life height. That translate into people online aren't telling the truth. Then you said telling the truth isn't allowed online.

And I wasn't taking you serious, I know you're just being a smartazz... you live up to your username very well! tongue2

Perhaps I should have worded it differently... asked if you are saying people online are not telling the truth... but like you, my posts are often misunderstood because I don't always articulate like I should slaphead

I find it easier to tell the truth at all times. All the information on my profile is true and my pictures are really of me, not some movie star (!) and recent.

What more could you nice ladies from England ask for? laugh

Not sure if I am sweet, but thanks for the compliment. I hope to make some new friends from among the English ladies here, other countries are just too far away as I can't afford to travel the world. No harm in dreaming!

I always try to tell the truth and present myself here truthfully. I don't want to be embarrassed by being caught in a lie or misrepresentation.

I hope that most people are describing themselves honestly.

I'm sure that some people are older than they claim, you just need to be careful, here as elsewhere.

Most of my friends are people I've met at dancing or walking or other activities that involve meeting people. I've made a few friends here also but so far none live close enough to me for regular meetings. I love meals out!

Me too..

I see no benefit to starting out with lies/ misrepresentation..

I can't help if "everyone lies online" or you think people sugar-coat stuff...
*I* don't.

And I have no tolerance or respect for anyone that does.

I'm too lazy to lie.

To tell lies you first have to create them.
Then you have to remember them.
Then you have to remember which lies you told to whom,
Then you have to make sure the people you told the lies to don't know each other so they can't compare notes.
Then if you get caught lying you have to think of another lie about why you lied in the first place.

Lying take too much work and is too damn complicated.

By this standard, I should be listing my height as
7'1".

Lady, I wish I had your problem... honestly I am the opposite.. I'm well under 5' and petite. The world around me are giants and extremely overweight! So, I just hang out rather than get trampled on or squished like a bug sad

Height is a thing? hmmm, let me get out my tape measure for my shadow...

I'm sure I could come up with something taller.

Actually, I'm a happy camper on height.

As far as telling lies, it's too dang much hassle. If you get serious with someone, sooner or later you gotta be you. Better they find out you are who you say you are, than dealing with the fallout of not being that.
