are you mentally deficient... it is all about persuasion.

a lot of people see it that way, but i think that's a pretty poor way to see pickup. i see it as more of a shared experience of enjoyment, not a business persuasion.
if you actually knew anything about real pickup you might understand.

When I stop laughing I will respond to this.....

Wait an 18 year old is going to tell me I know nothing about "the pick up" O.K. doll. I've been doing this dating thing since before you were a glimmer in your mama's eye.

Here is how it is, if I want something from you, say I want $10, and you have $10, and you are willing to spend $10, I have to persuade you to give it to me. It's the same in dating or hook ups, or whatever you call it. If you want my time my attention, or my phenom bedroom skills, and I don't even look your way, you need to PERSUADE me to give up what it is you want.

ohhh that last part was deep like "whether you think you can or think you can't....you're right?"

Geek, this is the first time we have agreed, I am plesently surprised. Thank you for making my morning.

nope. that kinda mindset gets in the way of the pickup ART.
...seriously. its probably the second most common sticking point, the first one being approach anxiety.
it aint about one party convincing another party to make a trade or anything. its really about sharing a social experience. i'm not talking about a trade-off from sharing. i'm talking about giving joy without expecting anything from her or yourself, but intuitively knowing that everything is going in the right direction. ever done that before? try it; it tastes like enlightenment. nobody is bought. nobody is "persuaded." maybe you just never met anyone who truly believed that. must be the capitalist western culture. (i say that even though i am a capitalist)

It's so cute how you wax poetic at such the young age of 18. Yes dear, I know all about mutually fulfilling relationships.

But to get into a mutually fulfilling relationship(of whatever degree) you have to win over that other person. That is the bottom line.

There are shallow people out there, thinking only with the primal instincts nature gave us, but it's also a confidence thing. People who know they are attractive usually have an abundance of Confidence.

I'm sure there is more to the answers of your question, oh well I tried.

You never have to win over anybody but yourself.
Accessing and expressing your true inner self shares love and joy with the universe and naturally draws social people to you.
You will hear me talking about "playing the game" but you will never hear me talking about "winning the game" because "winning" will always be nothing but an unfulfilling illusion that creates an unsatiable hunger.
Only when one realizes this can they free themselves from said illusion and allow themselves to really BE themselves.
I say Stop trying to win over others, Stop trying to control things outside yourself, and just BE. Wu Wei.
The dry weed that refuses to bend snaps in the wind because it is, in a sense, trying to stop that wind. The flexible blade of grass does not.

I don't give a chit what or how anyone thinks about the way I look.
I am happy with the way I look and if someone can't deal with that it is their loss not mine.

I am not changing who I am or what I look like to fit some stereotype of what a woman should look like.

I am "real" and alot of guys are finding that attractive now adays. Cool beans for me!...LOL...laugh

^^^So.. I'm guessing that means you don't hang out in the old growth forest up there, dressed in a leather mini skirt, spiked heels and tube top... Made up like you were married to a T.V. evangelist in the 80's?

Oh well..one less reason to drive up Mckenzie hwy.. Not that I find that sort of thing attractive. I just figured it would be fun to see... maybe take pictures.

Yup.. Can't say I've ever seen the evangelist or prostitution trade (So oddly similar) prosper in Downtown McKenzie Bridge. Which is comprised of what? 42 feet, from start to finish?

I kind of disagree.. As people age.. their outlook and attitude tends to manifest physically. Happy, peaceful people look happy and peaceful.. Tormented people look tormented. A$$holes look like..well you figure it out.

This is not always the case, of course. If it was..it certainly would be easier to spot the Jeffey Dahmers of the world. By and large though.. it is for most of us.
