As a writer posting on these threads incessantly, what gets my attention is when someone sends a note asking about something I wrote here.
If the note shows some intelligence and insight, that person automatically and instantaneously stands out. I really don't get enough of those -- maybe 2 or 3 a month.... But if you really want to be noticed here, the best thing is to post a lot and make yourself known. A presence in the forums will generate a lot of correspondence; or at least, that's how it has worked for me. |

No problem 9CORNERPOCKET. I do have a question though, do guys like to do the approaching? I know about the whole rejection thing, but sitting across a cafe or something and I make eye contact and smile, does that send the ok to approach, or does it really take more than that?

I got a great line the other day used on me while having my oil changed of all things. He dropped the receipt and bent down to pick it up and said "sorry, I am nervous around pretty women and I was just anxious to show you I mean give you something" Ahhh the joys of being single!!!
