Well have you? I have plenty but not for at least 25 years, I remember when I was a kid in school and they told us that if we ever did LSD we'd have flashbacks forever. Personally I'm still waiting for those flashbacks they promised many years ago.....

No, I never did or do drugs.. not even cannabis which is legal here in Canada.

So based on your experience, was it worth every minute of it. And now that you know there are no flashbacks, would you do LSD again? would you let your kid do LSD.. well since you know no flashbacks?

The only time I was stupid enough to try something, they called it "a dot", was when I was around 19. But as my supposed friend was handing it to me an angel swooped down and blew it away.

Twas really a gust of wind, but I like to believe it was an angel protecting me  I'm clean and sober today and plan on staying that way... Drugs alter who you are and I like the natural me. happy

Well I'm also clean and sober and very rarely drink but I do use cannabis quite often and have for 45 years.
I could just as easily think an angel swooped down and told me to do it (LSD), I had a great time every time I did it or psilocybin mushrooms or mescaline which is derived from the peyote cactus.
I'm glad I had the courage to use these to explore my mind and as I said had a lot of fun doing them. This of course was mostly 30 to 40 years ago.
I sure appreciate being called "stupid" by someone who obviously knows nothing about and has no experience to draw from regarding the subject at hand.
Btw that would have been microdot with was a very small tablet and thus the name.
I've never known of any "drugs" having a taste other than mushrooms; since they're fungi and you chew them and swallow them.
No I would not encourage my "kids" of which I only have one to do psychedelics and I certainly didn't do any of them when I was a child but I was a kid as I refer to youngsters now that I'm 3 weeks away from being 63.
I also wouldn't encourage my 14 y/o daughter to drink alcohol but given the choice of her drinking or using cannabis my choice would be cannabis. One kills brain cells the other doesn't.
Also let's not confuse the "drugs" I'm referring to in this post with the nasty drugs that are so popular these days like meth and crack.
Personally I absolutely hate meth, I believe it's the worst and most destructive drug ever and anyone that injects street drugs is stupid.

Guess I forgot to respond to this; yes it was worth every minute of it, no bad experiences and in fact quite the opposite.
No I wouldn't let my kid do LSD, IF I was there at the time but of course it doesn't work that way. And no, no flashbacks at least not yet so it's probably not going to happen. lol lol lol lol
Argo I can understand by the feedback so far from my post that you can't be blamed for being paranoid.
lol lol lol lol

with mescal, then riding my harley in a
high desert thunderstorm, while wearing
3-D glasses for eye protection.

Nope! Never happened.

I thought you already did but thank you for responding.

Now, still about LSD, if your 14-yr old daughter just happened to read your post saying you have no flashbacks whatsoever and every minute of your being on LSD was all worth it, and she asked your permission to do LSD to experience what you had experience which was all good, right? why would you say no?

happy

peyote 1x back in the day. I read somewhere they are a near endangered species. Folks harvesting them out since the 1970s. The read said what's suitable to pick represents a 20 year button..that is a generation peoplewise. That's why they're about extinct.

There were a lot of chemical drugs floating around in the mid to late 70s in the US that came out of Eastern Europe that were meant to really destroy western youths minds. There 5 or 6 peers from high school who took them and they're still messed up.

That's interesting and I've never heard that one and too bad. I guess I was fortunate, almost all the acid I ever did was made by a guy I knew that lived 10 miles away from me. He did it for years, it was always consistent and clean, he treated people right and never got busted.
He sold it to those of us that knew him in liquid form and we just dropped it on sugar cubes, we usually did two drops.
This is for being a rancher

Way back when I was in my college years, I went from never drinking to be intoxicated, to trying marijuana, and then later, LSD, and even later, high grade speed of some kind.

The short answer to my list of experiences were that some were very good; others very very bad. And although I derived positive benefits from both the drugs themselves, and from doing them illegally, I have no desire to ever use any of them again, even if they become legal.

I discouraged all my children from using any, but didn't punish the ones who tried them. I too learned the hard way, that the idea that my fellow young people who provided drugs for each other, were not even remotely like the freedom loving, good hearted idealists that they were mythologized to be. I had marijuana that had been adulterated with something that made it cause hallucinations and physical sickness; and since the times I lived through were tremendously depressing to begin with, and all of those drugs acted to make whatever was going on, much more intense... the good times became fewer and fewer. I finally stopped it all, because the paranoia and unpleasantness involved wasn't worth the very minor fun of intoxication.

I'll of course, never know if I would have learned what I did without the drugs. It is in the nature of existence itself, that we each become as we do, because of the exact paths we walk. There is never a way to be who we are now, but not have the fun or the disastrous experiences that led us to where we are. So I can't say truthfully that the person who I am now, would have gone back in time and said "no." I would not exist as I am, had I gone down different paths.

Up to being 35 I tried everything which was a lot of fun but in a different era, much more dangerous stuff about now ,later this changed into heavy drinking which was fun at first but became a problem, two friends died from alcohol, I managed to get a grip and quit 10 years ago ,
