Every deaddiction needs an addiction

I believe you're referring to addiction substitution.Replacing one habit with a new one.
Alice Cooper says golf saved his life. He swapped his obsessive drinking with obsessive golf .Channeling destructive behavior into something more productive.
Sort of harnessing the obsessive compulsive energy.

Hey ,it worked for Alice.

To substitute one addiction to sate another is compulsive behavior and its not the addiction you should be concerned with as much as the behavior that is compulsive.

Compulsive:
resulting from or relating to an irresistible urge, especially one that is against one's conscious wishes.
A major cause of the compulsive behaviors is said to be obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD).

An addictive behavior is a behavior, or a stimulus related to a behavior (e.g., sex or food), that is both rewarding and reinforcing, and is associated with the development of an addiction. Addictions involving addictive behaviors are normally referred to as compulsive behavioral addictions.

Compulsive behavioral addictions can lead to common addictions

Gambling addiction
Sex addiction
Internet addiction
Shopping addiction
Video game addiction
Food addiction
Exercise addiction
Work addiction
Tattoo addiction
Love addiction
Porn addiction

When people use the term “dependence,” they are usually referring to a physical dependence on a substance. Dependence is characterized by the symptoms of tolerance and withdrawal. While it is possible to have a physical dependence without being addicted, addiction is usually right around the corner.

Alcohol
Tobacco
Drugs
Water
Coffee
Soda
Sugar
High Fructose Corn Syrup

are all dependence addictions that cause compulsive behavior to satisfy the dependence.
