I started letting my hair grow out.
Kept it buzzed because it flies in all directions.
A friend passed this to me.
Instead of expensive hair gels and sprays, she told me, fresh squeeze some lemon juice. Apply it like gel and comb it.
Works great. Lasts all day.
What other tips do you have to offer?
Remedies for joint pain, headaches, cuts, bruises, wrinkles, etc.?

To cure ED
Wrap your balls with suran wrap filled with coffee grounds & crushed egg shells.
Cures ED because no woman in her right mind would want you near her after you pack your junk in garbage!

A recipe calls for flour.
But you have none.
Throw some Quaker Oats into a blender.
Voila, flour.

if you have the hiccups, eat a big spoonful of creamy peanut butter.

Works every time.

As for hiccups, I figured out what they actually are, and why each "folk remedy" can seem to work.

Hiccups are muscle spasms. Of your diaphragm (no, not that kind).

So anything you do to force your diaphragm to hold still long enough to relax it again, will stop the hiccups.

Drinking slowly causes most people to hold their breath, and holding your breath often involves tensing and holding the diaphragm stiff as well. Same trick as the peanut butter.

You can think up any way you like, to hold your diaphragm still, long enough to break the cycle of spasms. What I usually do, is to start by roughly timing the hiccups. Then I take a deep breath, specifically to use to press down inside myself, on my diaphragm. I bend forward slightly while holding it, if need be. Then count through at least one full hiccup cycle, while mentally relaxing. If the first time doesn't do the trick, I simply repeat until it does. Usually takes no more than three tries.

During flu season I make fresh chicken soup.
Eat it at least once a week.

I make homemade chicken soup at least once a year and keep some in the freezer.

I have some friends in Nong Khai, Thailand that would chew ginger when they were pregnant and working in the rice fields to keep morning sickness away, and so i decided to try it with crystallized ginger when I was in really rough waters on a ship in the Atlantic for days, and it worked, while everyone else was greenly sick. I later found out through research, that it's 8 TIMES more effective than Dramamine!

I bet the makers of Dramamine don't want anyone to know this....

but now you know! laugh drinker

Other things that help, but secondly effective, Granny Smith apples, and Bosch pears...

(yes, I shared what ginger I had laugh )

I found out about 20 years ago... late again for me, but what is cool, is there is so many of these amazing things. using the juicer everyday back about that same time, six months into it, my eyes went from 20/40 to 20/10. I used to have to wear glasses to drive.... not anymore. I truly think there's libraries of this stuff beyond what we have,(which is quite a bit I think) that would dwarf what we know, and what we have lost from before Roman times. So much was lost in the Alexandria Library. frown

I've heard that if you have problems that come along with eating beans, add a pinch of ground ginger or fresh gingerroot. I don't know it works but I do it and figure, it can't hurt.

I bet that could be nice on the pallet too. (picturing black-eyed peas or black beans, cold salad, (not sweet but savory) with some light greens) any ideas on other seasonings to compliment, but not clash with the ginger? *thinking*

I appreciate this, I do.

Just wanted to mention a thought I often had with suggestions like this, when I was younger.

My first thought was

"so you're saying, that if I expect to cook something floury, and I'm not sure if I have enough flour, that I need to go to the store and buy oatmeal and a blender?"

This one is extra clever. I'm going to try it even though I HAVE flour, just to see how it works.

A cup of warm water with 2tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon, 1teaspoon cinnamon, and 1teaspoon raw honey; drink at the start of each day to boost metabolism.
