Height doesn't matter to me, it's who he is as a person that matters.

Height and size matter, let's be straightforward. Those who are on the smaller/ shorter side should deal with it as men and quit Dating... Survival for the fittest and natural selection for the sake of next Generations.

It doesn't have to matter when you are short yourself as then most everyone will be taller anyway. But when you're on the tall side it becomes a different ballgame.

I disagree Crystal, it doesn't 'have' to matter regardless of how tall or short you are. Whether it matters is a choice/preference, not something we have to or must consider.

I do get that it matters to you though, and I respect that. There aren't too many men out there, from what I see, who date women taller than them. Perhaps it has to do with primal instincts? I just don't believe it's a have to thing that we must consider.

does it really matter?

No, it does not matter to me. If his heart is huge, he is kind and has an amazing personality, good enough for me.

I do get you, and I'd likely feel that way too if I was short/er as then you never really encounter issues with it, whether practical or emotional because basically everyone -or enough people- will be taller.
For me it doesn't work that way.
I never let it be a deal-breaker in the past, all my partners were same height or a little shorter, except for the last one. It wasn't until I was in the arms of a taller man some 7 years back that I realised what difference it makes. love
Also with practical stuff as I got a nice comfy high loo, worktop, wash-basin etc. My taller partner had the same in his home :)

That makes sense and is understandable. I didn't think about the practical stuff. It would be challenging if he had everything up high to reach and I couldn't reach anything without climbing. Especially in the shower, I'd be like a drowned rat if I couldn't adjust the shower head, haha.

I'm short, and dated a couple ladies taller than me, not a problem; but most other ladies I asked preferred a taller man, to go with their heels.
Very Few pros and cons when lying down, just the same as any other couple.

I love tall women, and short little cuties.
One tall lady I adore makes me think of that 70's song "Pretty Flamingo". Gorgeous.
And with little shorties, you can fit more in your car. pitchfork

all depends on the guy ... if I am attracted to him enough ...
and like his personality ... I don't believe it will matter ...

My first wife was 5"1. about a foot shorter then me at the time.

Second one was 5" 10. There can be certain, ahem, physical, shall we say, barriers of a delicate nature encountered by a gentleman of ahem, longer proportions.
I mean, just putting it out there.
No, wait. That's not what I mean..
putting it right back in again
No, wait....
You catch my drift, right?

I know two very different couples, who are friends of mine. One is a young couple who got married a few years ago, he is a head taller than me (like a basketball player) and she is about 2 heads shorter than me. On the first glance it does look awkward but it was never an issue for them. They really love each other and just had a baby.
The other couple: she is about 2 .5 heads taller than him (he is half Asian, she is Caucasian and taller than the average woman here). He is in his mid 50's and she is about 25 years younger. Just recently had another baby. Neither the height, nor their age difference ever mattered to them, they are happily married and one of the most funniest people I know and they complete each other very well, like made for each other.

I mentioned that to point out in general:
So, yes people have their set preferences but never let the smaller issue (or taller - lol) hinder you from maybe overlooking someone that might be otherwise "perfect" for you - and especially do not choose (maybe minor) preferences like that because of what other people might think. You are not in a relationship with THEM. Sometimes we care about people's opinions that we don't even know, rather than to see what really makes us happy/fulfilled and what matters in the long run.

agreed. :ok_hand::ok_hand::ok_hand:

i do think it matters but not to the extent it would be the basis of whether or not u should be together.

it can be just one characteristic that may attract you.
